stolzy Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 (edited) I'm trying to install a number of (user-created) missions when I tyry an open them iun Mission editor I got a message :Need modules for load mission: SAM Sites Asset Pack HighDigitSAMs CLP_UK60A_MOD VPC Object by voc & virpil.com Civil_Objects I have found and downloaded all of these (several were already installed), but I still get the error message. I've installed all in the 'myname/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/tech' folder and each appears in its own subfolder therein. What am I missing? A little further digging suggests that any mission with a module dependancy seems to fail in the same way. Edited February 2, 2023 by stolzy
Flappie Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Hi. Please attach your dcs.log file, from Saved Games/DCS.../Logs. We'll see if your mods are well detected by the sim. ---

Flappie Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Thanks. I can see these mods are installed: BRONCO V1.00, Massun92-Asset Pack, A-4E-C, Civil Aircraft Mod, a-29b-community-main, and Tacview. Others are nowhere to be seen. Can you show us the full path of the missing mods "entry.lua" files? (e.g. C:\Users\Flav\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech\Massun92-Asset Pack\entry.lua) ---

Your missions require having certain User Mods, if you don't have those then DCS will show you an appropiate message ... I wouldn't clasify it as a "fail". If you want to load the mission in spite of not having all the User Mods installed, you can do so using this utility: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322208/ Of course, this is only to be able to load the mission onto the Editor, you would still have to manually delete the objects that were provided by the missing user Mods.
