Although I'm not sure where it will fit into my missions yet, I'm excited to get the J-8II as a module. It seems like an interesting aircraft to fly, I also want to see how foreign variants of the Sparrow like Aspide end up performing.

It's the PP version, canceled project with Western avionics, could be a fun aircraft, but not quite what I was hoping for. They're also making the F, which was the more common design, but only for AI (at least for now). I suspect they'd like to make the F flyable, but lack the data to do so. Which doesn't bode well for our chances of getting any vintage Chinese aircraft.

If I would be doing this as hobby after my main work why not, maybe they just like old tech and need to fulfill the dreams, they have already released complex digital jet. But as a company never, we have Mig-21 already, people are eager for newer stuff. Su-30 would sell 1000x better.

Yeah a shame it's the prototype.

Would have liked more operational one.

If they could make the Su-30, they would. Notice that the prototype is a Chinese-made aircraft using US avionics. Evidently, China keeps a tight lid on domestic avionics systems, even historical ones. Again, they're making an aircraft that's only partially Chinese. This suggests the fully Chinese ones are a non-starters. J-8IIF would have been the obvious choice otherwise, and in fact, they're making that one for the AI. The only way this makes sense is if the PP was the only one they could get avionics data for.

I saw mention of improving animations for the Mi24 pilot model along with the Apache one, does the Mi24 even have a pilot model yet ??

I'd kill for a full fidelity Flanker.

I think it is quite hard for them to get data on the real Chinese homemade avionics, and may have had to make up with this one that has more data access with western avionics.

I was hoping for news on the Supercarrier, particularly the additional deck handlers. Unless you're a squadron the other updates don't matter.
