So how do i habdle this now, that ED will integrate in Core DCS?

I mean i have the downloads in saved games directory...can i delete them? Not necessary to have them twice?

Specs:
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K   3.20 GHz,  RAM 128 GB, Win11 Home, RTX3080Ti

Hi, i've had this issue for a while now with the DF-21 Missile where it won't launch, i have assigned it to 'Fire at Point' but it for some reason doesn't work..

It a anti-ship missile, so you need to select "attack unit" or "attack group" not "fire at point" to make it work

How can I make missile systems (Iskander M/K, Bastion) or ships (Kaliber missiles) use weapons? The same systems are deployed and nothing happens. How can I set up target points so that the weapons are used? Thanks.

It a anti-ship missile, so you need to select "attack unit" or "attack group" not "fire at point".

If a cruise missile or ballistic missile, have it attack a point.

I think it's a problem with the MALD itself.  I tried it on multiple non-CH aircraft, and it crashes just after launch every time.  I tried comparing the B21 luas CH sent to fix the AGM158 issue, but couldn't find a solution.  I wonder if it could be an issue with the new update, although can't say for certain as I downloaded the Ukraine pack for the first time today after seeing it had the agm160 included in it (haven't done so previously).  I haven't had any other problems with CH aircraft or any others crashing on launch of a 3rd party armament, so this is a first

It's possibly just a minor error when comparing "MiG-29MU2_ADM-160B.lua" and "MiG-29MU2_JDAM-ER.lua." In the warhead entry, in line 3, "MiG-29MU2_JDAM-ER.lua" has "local" in front of it. "MiG-29MU2_ADM-160B.lua" does not.

How do i handle it? I have all CH Add-On in C:xxx/saved games

Are they included now in the core game and i can delete them? Or how does it work?

They are not yet integrated into the core, with no date given on when that will be the case. So you do not have to do anything currently. Once the first batch of assets gets integrated, you will have duplicated assets if you keep the mod versions. This is from Currenthill's FAQ:

Q13: Will I remove the duplicate assets from the Currenthill mod packs?
A13: Yes. I will most likely remove duplicate assets to avoid any kind of unnecessary confusion.

So you just update your modpacks after the specific units got removed from the pack and you should be good to go.

The DCS core weapon scheme required a smaller change in the code. It's been fixed. I will release an incremental update for both the Ukraine and USA asset packs shortly.

If you want to use it until then, replace this file. 👍🏻

didn't work, maybe there was mis-communication i tried to attack a ground target which i saw was possible in a youtube video, but for some reason none of the attack plans worked.. not "Fire at Point", not "Attack Unit", not "Attack Group"...

Hi Currenthill,

I hope you are doing well! Have you ever considered adding C2 assets into your packs? Specifically, things like the equipment from U.S. FACP/CRP/CRC/AOC units past and present. 

1. AN/TPS-43 radar (and associated mobile control vans, comm vans/antennas, generators)

2. AN/TPS-75 radar

3. Modular Control Equipment (MCE) (and associated mobile control vans, comm vans/antennas, generators)

We had a large number of TPS-43 radars deployed during the Cold War in Germany and they were also deployed elsewhere including Desert Storm. They were replaced by the TPS-75 and MCE which brought among other things, full datalink integration with the other services and NATO partners. I find the whole C2 aka C3I picture in DCS World is lacking. In reality, the modern battlefield is a giant network of systems all sharing information. Before datalinks we did this manually by voice and an airman would use a grease pencil and write backwards on a giant plexiglass plotting board not unlike what the Brits did during the Battle of Britain. This element really needs much more attention in DCS IMHO. If we want that extra element of reality then having the ability to manage the airspace and assets needs to be examined. This would really shine in campaigns. Let me know your thoughts!

For the Ticonderoga (and the upgraded one), I installed the most recent update but every time the cruiser fires a missile, they just explode inside the ship until either the ship is destroyed or the game crashes.  Do I need to have a fresh install of the USA pack to fix this?

Maybe the one you saw in that video had some changes inside the Lua file to enable the DF-21 to shoot at ground targets, because, if I remember correctly, the original Lua file from Currenthill for the DF-21 is only an anti-ship missile.

Hi @currenthill with the Iskander becoming part of the core game, is there any possibility in of integrating a decoy system into the missile in the near future? From what I've read, each Iskander missile carries six decoy devices.

Worked like a charm, thanks CH!  Quick question, is there a way to have the munitions like the LRASM and MALD drop from the pylon on other aircraft like they do with native CH aircraft?  I've put your lrasm and malds on a superhornet and they'll slide off the pylon.  not a huge issue, just immersion haha
