Hey!

Thanks for the positive feedback on the new DCS core asset pack.

I'm going to update all of the mod asset packs, to feature LODs and reduced texture sizes, to make the packages smaller and the assets less demanding in missions. I will also remove the duplicated assets that are now featured in core DCS. I'm also going to update all weapons to the latest standard. I started with this one as a template, since it only have one asset.

Distribution model

This Military Asset Pack is available in the following versions:

  • The standard full download. Remove old asset pack version and unzip this in your Saved Games mods\tech folder.
  • The incremental download which updates your full download and contains only the changed files. You apply it by overwriting your current installation.

Hi @currenthill It has been more than a month since the first pack update, and the forum has been quite quiet lately. I just wonder if the update process for the other packs still going smoothly?

Sure! I just had to spend some time working on updates and fixes for the core assets. Especially since it was my first update and I needed to understand the process.

But as I said earlier, I intentionally started the mod pack updates with the smaller packages, to get a feeling what needed to be done. The work is pretty much linear with the number of assets in a pack. So it takes time. But I'm now back at it again. Just stay tuned. 👍🏻

Here is a mission with a working BUK M3 site using the semi-active TELARs.  The player aircraft is an Apache, and is set to invulnerable.  Feel free to swap in your favorite ride.

I did test it without the CC vehicle or TR, and it still launched on me.

That's correct. The Buk TELAR have its own FCR. Which in itself makes it a tough opponent. Using the external radars will of course extend its capabilities a lot, but it will be able to engage you even without them, in a more limited mode though.

I'm SO excited for all the new Chinese air assets. I think after that comes out we'll have all the mettle to make modern neer peer Apache missions!
