Hi @currenthill I have a question about THAAD, I noticed that in the missions I created, THAAD can only intercept a maximum of 10 incoming Ballistic missile at the same time. Is this limitation due to DCS core game or is it a restriction of the TPY-2 radar?

It's the radar. All the different OSINT sources made me chose 10 as the max number for the TPY-2. 👍🏻

Was wondering if there would ever be a Russian Infantry asset pack, like the American and Swedish infantry?

or maybe insurgent infantry? would be cool to have actual RPG-7 troops instead of RPG-16's with no warhead.

I think ED will be releasing their updated infantry soon. I believe we got a sneak peek of one of the insurgents in one of their latest release videos.

The RCS of Iskander missiles is large enough for the Patriot radar to detect them at a distance. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already shot down many Iskanders. It is clear that with a mass launch, when saturation occurs, the air defense may lose.

I am surprised to see Chizh in this topic. I would really like to see the official Iskander in DCS. At least export version.

ED does not want anyone but themselves to add weapons to the game.

at least they're working on some newer ballistic missiles but still. the blame is on ED

Boy, they haven't been able to fix their rockets for more than 5 years...

I don't think Currenthill will create any more ballistic missiles in the near future because we still don't know how the new DCS ballistic trajectory parameters work.

Yeah, you're pretty much spot on. The current limitations really makes it hard to create such an asset that even somewhat resembles its real life performance. It doesn't give me joy to spend so many hours on an asset knowing I can't make it perform like I want. And also the dealing with all the questions from the users about why its performance is lacking. 😅

I'm not calling for a rebellion, but I think all this is due to the fan base's passivity. We must communicate with the respected gentlemen from the Company, do not give up trying to be heard. Maybe they won't make a fix, but at least they will increase the priority of releasing their launchers.

i dont have the performance values that they modeled this after so they might not perform the same now

either way, they're hidden from us

In parallel to the Buk M3, I'm also working to a couple of other assets I'm adding to the Russian asset pack. Here is the T-90A.

Good job as Always, are you thinking of doing an Israeli pack?

Thanks! I might. Since it also depends on model availability, why not suggest a list of relevant assets in an Israeli pack. Preferably the most common and useful ones. 👍🏻

LORA but uhhhhh thats another ballistic missile problem

And again there is no reason to do Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 because no more relevant target to shoot down:badmood:

only stock scud

Haha, the stock Scud is like the shotgun version of a ballistic missile. You get a really nice scatter effect. 😅

Sure @currenthill:

  1. Iron Dome since the current DCS version has problems, I hear
  2. Merkava MBT
  3. Namer APC
  4. Eitan APC
  5. MTD David
  6. IAI Heron recon drone
  7. Sa'ar 6 Corvette

Ranked in priority.  I have some missions that I can't release because the Iron Dome rocket-killing SAM is broken.
