I can only speak for the AH-64D in use with simshaker for aviators (SSA). You will feel the gun very well…depends on the settings you choose in SSA.

Most important is setting it to forcefeel in tab 2 of settings app. Otherwise the HF8 will generate no effects.

Effects strength settings depend on personal preferences and your hardware setup might be important as well. I run my pad simultaneously with buttkicker basshakers. And therefore my settings are different as I‘d only use the pad.

Hi, sorry but noob inside ..I have received my HF8 and plugged it USB , with NLR software all work good .

With SSA nothing work exept Test vibe-motors. i have a small windows with my seat handler in green

In first "Effect settings" / Model  i have only Generic helicopter or generic jet , i see nowhere plane i play in dcs (a10/ah64 or other)

In "Special options" I had put in "output mode" USB - Forcefeel.

I play open beta with windows 10.

Turn up effects strength on the HF8. Do this with the control device connected to the seat. There‘s the big red on/off button. Rotate the button until the led light aside wants from red to green.

In SSA you could also move up the slider to the top in the small window showing the jetseat (the seat handler window).

yes i use it and it work well on HF8 software , on SSA if i turn the button i see cursor moving on SSA slider but , hf8 don't make any vibration in game

You cold try repair DCS export on your settings tab of SSA.

@corbu1i had a trouble, i start hf8 / SSA / DCS and this message appear: (and hf8 don't work under dcs but i can make motor test normally)

Sorry, I have no clue about this issue.

You might ask in the official simshaker for avistors thread here on the DCS forums. Maybe there‘s solution for your problem.

I just got me an HF8 a few days ago and Im trying to get mine set up as well. No go on the Sim Shaker app or beta, and some reason its not porting over to DCS with the HFS setup app. Could use some opinions here, I did get it set up in SSA as Realtus as mentioned before, but still aint getting anything.

Did you choose forcefeel in the SSA software in the second tab of settings?

Also it seems that the HF8 NLR software seems to interfere in some ways with the SSA software if you tried to run both. That was the same in the problems just above in this thread of jabbazhah. A repair DCS export in the settings tab of SSA helped him.

Sorry to here you had such problems. I for myself did. never try the HF8 software and run the pad via SSA from Day 1 without issues.

I even run now 3 buttkickers with the pad simultaneously in SSA and it works very fine for me.

Worked out of the box with SSA for me as well.  When you start SSA do you get two windows?  One should be the "Seat handler" that shows vibration level and a "ForceFeel seat state okay" notification in the lower left.  The other window is SSA effects/settings.  Under settings does the "Test Vibe Motors" work on your seat?  I know this sounds stupid, but is the HF8 controller on with a lit LED?  You might also try a different USB port.

I dont get that window until I load DCS up. Even then it shows it as sending commands to the unit, but nothing happening at the seat.

If you had installed / uninstalled HF8 software, maybe you can check in your export.lua that the line refering to HF8 software is commented or removed.

It may also interfer with the SSA own config.

I think about bying one since a few months, but I am not totally sure if it can do what I hope it would do. So I came here to ask the ones who already use it.

How good can I "feel" my jet with this? Do I feel when I roll? Do I feel how much AoA I am giving with my stick in Doghfight? Just, how much of the so hardly missed feeling for the plane can be added by this pad?

A lot, once you get used to that, there is no way you are flying if the device is off. 

You dont feel a regular roll, but will feel when pulling g loads, or when approaching stall. 

One fair example is I never broke the wings of the tomcat again after buying the device. My flying is more finesse and smooth. Using weapons, dropping flares, ground rolling, air brake out, landing gear operation... Like I told you  for me it's mandatory to fly

Hello !

I had a small problem currently. When using the gun in the A-10C II (With HF8 pad), I have a quick small vibration in the back, but the lowest motors run then continuously without any pause. I then need to stop the HF8 pad, and restart it, to stop the vibration.

Anyone aware of that and of any solution ?

Globally, mine is working quite well with SSA software (more effects than with NLR software). Only 1 issue with the A-10C gun firing.

does simshaker recognize all 8 motors of the HF-8 seat right now?

I am thinking of getting one, but I read some where that with simshaker only 6 motors (out of 8 ) would be working.
