Thanks for reopening the thread, and thanks to those who are trying to reach Urze. It is very frustrating, and at this point I'd just like closure on the whole issue.

I can understand your frustrations, but before jumping to anymore conclusions I would wait to see if JimMack can contact Urze's family for info. It doesn't make sense that Urze would have provided goods to some people, then suddenly start ripping people off.

I have seen depression strike in a couple of friends. and when it does it is a dramatic change. I'm not saying that this is the case but it would explain the behavior. When ppl get clinically depressed most can't cope with the outside world or even the basic mundane tasks and seclude them self, A former coworker of mine just stopped showing up at work once, we tried to contact him and so on just to find out after 6 weeks that he had fallen into depression and had been put into hospital... I get that your upset having lost a lot of money, and i'm not defending anyone, i just fear that there is more to this than a money scam...

i am so glad that i have a background that has allowed me to "manufacture" my own controller..

 

although it has taken me sometime... at the end i felt proud and quite please at my work, but at the same time things could have went the opposite way, i could have bashed up my CH controllers for nothing...

 

though i havent brought any of urze products, his "ideas" have been a source of insipiration, reference, and just plain wow..

 

sux this has happened to those who have this problem at the time at black sharks release....

But first of all I would like to say URZE, whatever has happened I hope your doing well, and hope to see you back here soon. Whenever your ready and able, or just feel up for it..!

 

Now to all of us I'd like to say that...

We jump to conclutions to easy when we're hurt or feel let down... And though this is a natural reaction, it is seldom a socialy accepted reaction. Nor is it ever well recieved by the unfortunate other part at the recieving end..

 

I really sympatize with all who are still waiting for the stuff they ordrered.. I really do..!

 

But let's think a little first and then write our frustrations down.. I think even the most angry guys will be able to relate to what I am about to write..

 

First of all. I can't see how anyone put down such energy, time and personal effort in a scam..? C'mon..! URZE made these products from he's own dedication to this hobby of ours.. He came up with not just one idea, but a whole bunch of ideas! And they were drivven from a thought inside he's mind to a promoted and sold product in quite a short time to..! Actions speak louder than words they say. And URZE was all action.. He's a regular guy from Germany.. A guy with an idea.. And now people from all over the world know what he has made.. That's action in my book.! So I hope we can all agree that he must have put a lot of effort into this endavour of he's? would you just drop it and walk away for no reason? I hope not..

 

He attended different gatherings and befriended some of the key people within our comunity.. Just to rip you guys off..?! Does that sound likely to anyone.? I sure hope not..

 

Also you should consider the fact that the products he has are quite unique..? Would you launch a good idea AND follow through over time like that if you had anything other than the best intesions..? Again I hope not.

 

So let's say that we can all agree on the fact that most likely something else has happened to URZE..! Something that was not foreseen by him, and probably not even wanted by him..

If so, then it should be safe to say that when ever the "whatever it is" has resolved itself, or been resolved by URZE, he will want to pick up where he left and keep promoting the products we all found so good, Right?

 

Well, I for one would dread facing a "raging mob" when I was recuperating from sickness, or bouncing back from a financial downwash, or whatever it is..

 

I would probably think " .." You KNOW what I would think.. 'Cause you would most likely think the same.. ".. to h*ll with them all! I was hospitalized and they branded me as a thief..!" That's what I would think..

 

Now for the most angry of you.. You do want URZE to come back from wherever he is don't you? Because you have paid good money, and want to get your products or a refund? Now remember what I just wrote before..

... it's all starting to make sense to you now, I hope..?

 

 

So if you can't show compassion, at least do the one thing that will give you what you want..?! Just be nice..!

Ps. And for the love of god.. What if Swetrekki is on to something and it's depression..? I guess we're not exactly what the doctor ordered then, are we?

I would just like to add little comment... from my personal experience with Urze I can say following:

 

I asked him if he would make me a very short Cougar extension for the stick and he agreed... I was very pleased. Me and one other guy from Australia (wont' mention names/nicks) made a deal with Urze (on Urze's sugestion) that to save on shipping cost, Urze sends both patckages to one of us and then we fix it up between us... we agreed, and it workd.

 

Now, the "bad" part of my story is I did actually wait about 2 months to get my extension. The other guy from Australia delivered it to my work with week after he recieved it from Urze... so happend to be longer then expected wait was on Urze's end... but still it was alright from me since I had no internet for that time (due to moving to new apartment). Once I got internet I wanted to try it out online... and to my surprise, my Cougar was mulfuncioning... I thougth at first I must have done something to it while moving (damaged the cable's or something) but after trying the Coougar without extension... it worked perfectly normal again. So turned out the cabling inside had to be done wrong, or maybe the wires inside extension were pinched or something, I just see no other explanation since all the extension contained was 2 connectors and cable connecting them... very basic I'd say. Anywho the faulty part, I meant all buttons on the Cougar stick looked pressed... shorty after I decided to just leave it and chuck it out. I actually didn't complain or ask Urze for another one, or even let him know what I experinced.

 

Now to the bit many of you are concerned, I'd say there can be 3 options as to why Urze is not around... Either he really did scam... or got sick (depression or what ever else can be) or (hopefully this is not the case) he had an accident etc and.. well you know.

 

I'd think he is not the scamming type, as even if my personal mod did not work as expected and there was a long wait, Urze did what he said he'd do.

 

If something really bad happened to him (I hope not) then nothing we can do about it, or complain... things like that CAN happen.

 

But, I'd think that if he got depressed or sick etc... he could and should still feel some sort of need to actually let people know if something like that did happen to him... even if depressed I don't see how he could without any guilt, let people pay him, take the money and then not keep his end of the deal... if he did get depressed and he simply cannot continue on this work and provide people what they are intitled to... he should give them their money back.

I would also like to say that when I placed my order with Urze, I was fully aware that he had a regular full time job and did this on the side. I ordered from him because no one else makes the stuff he does. He is obviously a very smart individual who has produced some brilliant items. Now when he first ran into touble, I was very understanding of the situation he was in and let him know that. Then time passed and I heard nothing from him, so, I tried getting messages to him in all the manners I knew of. Finally, on 2-21-09, I got a rather long message from him in which he was very apologetic, and said how sorry he was that things had gone this far, and, "hope you are not angry with me". Then he stated that he could positively ship my order out on 2-28-09, or if I did not want to wait, "you can file a refund claim through PayPal". I wrote back, once again understanding the situation he was in, " I have waited this long, as long as you can positively ship my order on 2-28-09, then please do. If you can't, let me know". I have not heard from him since. So I will end this saying, I hope everything is OK with Urze. I have said it before but I guess it needs to be repeated. And I am not an angry, revenge seeking monster. I AM a frustrated, GOOD person,( good father and proud grandfather too), wanting to finally be able to put this whole matter behind me. Thank you.

I don't think the dude is hurt, he is still around. The reason he is ignoring us , I have no clue. It would be a waste to start a small business and then shut people down. He did disappeared for a couple weeks already - then decided to post, so this time is not the first. I bet the dude is in jail and can't email or post. Ok, from my point of view and this is from someone who is neautral to all of this, but from my point of view I personally dont like the smell of this.

 

I sincerely hope Urze is ok and hasnt been in an accident or whatever but my suspicions seem to point in the direction of that he hasnt been and he is genuinely in some sort of financial trouble judging by his post in this thread where he mentions money problems.

 

He acted like a business by naming it leftside limited and even making a website so he should respond/act the way businesses do and thats by replying to their customers.

 

All the people who are defending Urze and saying he wouldnt rip people off etc, I am not saying he has or he is, but look at it this way, he took lots of peoples money, he then goes awol, he doesnt look at the forums anymore and if he does he doesnt sign in to do it but yet he has time for youtube.

 

What does that suggest to you all ? oh and remember and this goes out to the people who havent gave urze any cash, just think deeply for one moment, if this was your cash and this was happening to you what would you all be thinking thats happening with urze? he is sick ? he's had an accident ? he has no money for the internet to contact people ? and then you see him sign into youtube just a few hours ago and all this and still 0 contact from himself regarding either your money or your order.

 

After all that what would you all think was happening to your money and with urze ???

 

I would think I was being scammed and 100 of Urze's friends could tell me how much of a nice guy he is and that he wouldnt do such a thing but, I would still feel as though I was getting scammed as supposedly "trustworthy" people dont act like this.

 

Thats all I have to say on the matter but before I go, please people, for those of you that never gave urze any money, dont try and defend him by saying he wouldnt do such a thing because it really looks like he IS doing such a thing, just pretend that its your cash he has got and how upset you all would be if you were in the same situation as others here are.

 

Because I am sure if a high street shop did this to any of you, you would be the first to go mad and complain that X shop is scamming you. Urze isnt different to any other business out there because thats what he professed that he ran, a small business and all businesses have to follow rules/guidelines, which at present he is not or he would of either been in contact or people would of got their orders or money refunded.

 

If he is and i say IF, but if he is ripping people off then I think he should get banned from this site as thats where the majority of his sales came from and, DCS/ED allowing such a thing to happen on their site and to take no action would be unbelieveable if it was proven that he was ripping ppl off, especially as he has ED partner next to his name ( although it has been clearly stated he isnt a partner ). Most ppl will think that he is associated with ED and that will bring DCS/ED into disrepute which IMHO cannot be allowed to happen, so I think a statement by ED regarding this situation should be pinned up where everyone can see it once it has been made clear what Urze is upto so that people dont think that he is connected with ED in any shape or form.

 

Just my thoughts on the situation however right or wrong some people may feel that they are.

1. As Jim said above he is trying to contact Urze and/or his family, so until he reaches somebody we can only speculate what happened.

 

2. The ED Partner tags have already been stripped and his sig has been changed, as you can see yourself.

 

3. ED/TFC also have an interest in contacting him, because he wanted to help present Black Shark on the LLTM, which is scheduled for next week.

Still no news here so I will be reading with interest, its ony 50 or 50 Euro's but hey theres a recsssion in the UK too you know.

It's on my X52 Throttle. As some know, the throttle is inverted. When you pull the collective lever, the power decrease. How is it possible to invert that ?

In the DCS control options:

 

Select Axis commands in the drop down box at the top ->

 

Click on the collective option in the control list ->

 

Click the Axis Tune button at the bottom of the screen, a window will open where you can set the sensitivity, etc ->

 

Click Invert!
