In DCS it is more practical to set it to NAV for a hot start / auto start, to cater to different scenarios (redfor / restricted satnav). Dima | My DCS uploads

Infact you get an advisory if you don't. P/INS on the ADV- line to tell you GPS is available but is not being used. null
