Diamondviper Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 Using the hp reverb G2 with open xr natively my imagine in the goggles is upside down and out of alignment, on the monitor it seems fine though. This only seems to happen if I use open xr after this recent update. Happens on both multithread and default. Wondering if anyone else has this issue or found a solutions. thank you 1
jeepster Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 (edited) Same here, no Necksafer involved. OpenComposite is a workaround. Edited March 17, 2023 by jeepster 1

YoYo Posted March 17, 2023 Posted March 17, 2023 For me it is ok after the last update, MT or SC, no issue like this. It looks more like boundary problem. Do it with your VR software: 1/ clear your VR environment, 2/ set up again boundary. If I follow the steps it still doesn‘t seem to use OpenComposite, because the image is still inverted. Before I forced it to use OpenComposite instead of SteamVR it worked, but the MT bin uses the ED OpenXR implementation with the inverted picture.
HR_Kayu Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 I have the same problem. Trying to solve it I have reinstalled and now in normal OpenBeta all works fine (even with XRNeckSafer), but in the MT version it is upside down and looking to the front of the plane/hangar and not to the menu. It is Like in Diamondviper pictures. I'm going to try with WMR Debug Tool... Any other fix for this problem? Also HP Reverb G2 here and RTX 3090. Thank you in advance.
HR_Kayu Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Using this: --force_steam_VR DCS OpenBeta MT fails to start SteamVR but shows Menu, even Debug Tool and then crashes.
CowanSim Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Happened to me after I watched an aircraft crash. This then caused my whole PC to lockup and DCS MT version crashed. Upon returning to DCS MT version my VR headset is inverted. Reset boundary did not resolve, going to try a repair G2 | 3080TI | I9-12900K

"Strange enough, I found a workaround that allows me to keep using XRNeckSafer. I find that if I load SteamVR first and then load MT, it loads me into the menu correctly even with XRNeckSafer installed. During the process, it closes SteamVR and loads OpenXR as normal. XRNeckSafer then works normally with MT. YMMV".

CowanSim Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Yup, VR Necksafer was the issue. Once I disabled the API for it MT runs fine, possibly an issue with Necksafer itself or MT as was working fine on standard non MT version

But that's not working after the last update. Could you tell me how I disable the API for MT please. Cheers

Cheers I don't know if this is of any help - but I've noticed if I run dcs "as administrator" - XR Necksafer works OK for me - but if I don't, it runs upsidedown and inverted. (in MT mode).
