Hi pilots. I checked the other dicussion about this but I cant use gbus properly. I think only the 20% of attemps are positive. I tried with and without Autopilot following the  heading and other methods of the discussion. I have not clear what is the right altitud and procedures.

Will it be solved in the future?

do an air start mission and try the process. then save a track. we can look at it as a track maybe see what is going wrong. i can give you a tip. start at about 20 miles out. get your pod on the target. then run in. when you get cue to drop bomb, drop it. then take a hard turn to port. then after a few seconds start an orbit to starboard in a slow circle. this will keep the pod on the target and not get masked.

There are two criterias that you need to fullfill for a successful GBU drop.

1) Precisly, and I mean very precisly, align your FPM with the bomb fall line

2) Press and hold the weapons release button just before the second countdown goes to 0

thanks to all. I will save a track this night. I make the same procedure since I bought the viper at the release. I know the procedure in the harrier, hornet and BMS but in this case I dont know why it doesnt drop it. I make a perfect alignment without wind but... I tried different altitudes (looking baro a radar) and its the same. All is according manuals and the video of our mate.

Not that I know of. Besides, there is only one altitude limit (okay, two to be correct)

Lower minimum would be due to fragments/fuze

Upper limit would be your aerodynamic limit
