Clearly I'm missing something here as I have used this combination before...

The .trk (and vid) file should be self explanatory.

The bombs do not release in CCRP mode.

Laser codes are correct (I think they are automatic for an air start?)

Lasing is on - everything seems to function as normal but bombs do not release...

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi @buceador

Not only what @=52d= Skipsaid about alignment, you are using the cue for tossing, right after that circle flashes. If you are not intentionally pulling a 4G climb after the circle when the cue drops to the FPV, the bombs will not release, this is by design.

You need to wait for the second CCRP cue drop, that you can see happening right at the very end of your video, but it ends there, so I assume you didn't even noticed it.

Hope this helps. There's no bug that I can see here.

Ok, so I waited for the second cue drop,  ASL centred and got the same result, ie no bomb release.

I tried with the Paveway on PRE just to check lasing / weapon release button mapping etc and everything worked as you would expect.

Like already mentioned, in CCRP did you line up the ASL with the FPV dead on? It's quite sensitive to deviations, needs to be pretty much right on the mark.

Yes, I fully understood this point.  I flew this scenario 8 times, changing altitude and laser guided bomb loadout, every time but one, mínimum distance was reached before the second caret dropped to release point, which was causing the problem, the attached screen grab shows the ONLY time it worked and then only just.  So?  Which mission parameters are incorrect?

your bomb fall line is missing in the HUD... are you using any mods perhaps?  Did you start a cold jet?

No mods and an air start?

Did you actually run my mission, by changing the track file to a .miz file?

Ok, i had a look at the replay.

Problem is you are not centered on the bomb fall line... The bomb fall line is the line running from top through bottom on the HUD. Align the flight path marker on the fall line and press and HOLD the pickle button, until the bombs fall off

Did you read what i posted above? As soon as i took control in your replay, i could drop the bombs on the plane. Here is a picture: you need to align the FPM and the vertical bomb fall line

Understood.  What about this though? "What surprises me is how close to the minimum distance marker I get before the caret drops?"  Is that the norm?

~0.8M, 25.000ft  and ~ 6nm I would say this is fine for a ballistic drop from lvl flight.

Unless you have evidence to the contrary  😁

Did you try to set Release Angle (REL ANG) parameter inside Controls (CNTL) menu to 0 degree? By default it is set to 45deg (for pull up).

Has only to do with lofting. For level drop this setting does nothing

Sure it does, if you have rel.ang. set more then zero (lets say to default value of 45deg), the 1st release cue will be for tossing. And if you will be flying in level flight, bombs will not be dropped. But you can drop them when 2nd release cue appears after few more seconds of flying (depends of the speed and altitude).

Thats what i said. It does nothing for level CCRP drop, because the release point for level drop does not change
