Summer sale 2023?

Recommended Posts

Heya, hope this is the right forum to ask, but i'm thinking of buying some modules & terrain. But is it worth it to wait for a potential summer sale? Has there been one every summer?

Definitely wait for a sale. Some deals are good, and some are great.

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

New modules are never on sale in first year or so. I think it's best to take it with current discount if you want the map.

is it possible it will come on sale this summer?

I have never seen a just released item go into sale, usually it has to lapse at least a year. To compensate, most new items (not all, for example the MB-339 didn't get any) get an EA discount anyway.

Do you guys think Sinai is a good map?

I find it really nice, but as it is very new there are no DLC Campaigns for it, and Users have not had yet time to edit missions on Sinai yet .. so, unless you like to edit your own missions I suggest looking at Syria or Persian Golf instead.

I havent tried any but the free one 😛

Which free one?  Have you tried Marianas?  It's a really nice Map for helos and naval operations.

I use Steam for my main install but I also have a main site install just for trials. It's painless.

It's an alternative, but uses up a lot of duplicated hard drive space.

It's the price I pay.

I'm not even sure how big the main site base install is, but it's on my 1TB C drive SSD and I always have a few hundred GB empty there. My main DCS install from Steam is 520GB and is all alone on it's very own 1TB NVME drive. I only have a few flightsims and one "game", so storage isn't much a problem.

I pre-purchased the F-15E a few weeks ago, so I won't be buying anything else on a long while 🙂

Baltic Dragon, on Twitter, says the SE was intended to be in July, so I guess the summer sale has to wait -- for 2-weekTM
