Hello. While jumping from Hornet to Viper, trying now more or less master it. What I soon noticed was that there is not clearly as much SP content (DLC nor User files) as there is for Hornet, which is understoodable, while Hornet being so popular. Any suggestions for single player campaings, for "beginner". Noticed that 2.8 has updated campaing "Keeping the bear at the bay", but it seems to need "CivAircraftMOD" after couple missions, and dunno about installing that, does it blow up my DCS badly? Are those DCE dynamic campaings any good these days? Have played bought dynamic campaings with Hornet, and had great time, specially with Flaming Sunrise. Are those any similar?

Civil Aircraft Mod takes the time it takes to download and unzip it into Saved Games\DCS\mods\aircraft\CAM
Blow up? No, it doesn't affect your DCS installation at all, just move it out again if you don't plan on using it. It did nobody would use it.
You could also use a mod manager of course. Mods are awesome and provide content and assets, which are not in the core.

Cheers!

I don't know why ED skipped Viper with official mini campaign like Hornet has and many other of their modules, they should keep the standard of their modules, every module should have mini campaign.

I agree that there is really low Viper single player content out there, there is currently only one DLC campaign, Red Flag, it is not very immersive tho, you just sit in the jet and go bomb stuff and that's it.

So all you can do is wait for the upcoming DLC campaigns and try to go through user files and some campaigns there.

I know I played through Arab Spring few times it was ok for user made campaign, but I don't know if it is updated.

With the amount of bugs we had and given the state of the F-16, this is understandable from the point of a mission maker imo. At the current point, some nice campaigns would be possible. One year ago... No.
For SP content, we need to wait until we are close to the end of early access. Pretty sure a lot of SP content will come since the Viper is really popular.

Up until about a year ago, the Viper wasn't really in a state of readiness... Why spend the time/effort to create something while the thing is in-flux and not yet feature complete?  Once it started to come together, campaign devs started working on them.  These things take time!

Anyway, here are some of my missions for the Viper.  Give 'em a go:
