Hi everyone! After new 2.9 size of enemy planes have become very small (and markers too).
It's really hard to fight. How to fix it? My screen resolution 4k.
 
P.S. I dont know why, but I can't find autoexec.cfg in \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\.
Probably it will help to turn off new 'spotting dots' if it is the main cause of my problems

It needs to be created manually by user, so if you never needed to do it previously, it just won't be there.

Only it can be treated as cheat now if someone does it and then flies online dogfights. 😆

Confirm it happens in VR. They look very big. Even adding the line to the cfg file doesn't fix it for me.
I think there is proper bug for when the plane is in front of clouds and at that point the dot is rendered at full scale and full opacity no matter the distance

Same here. Terrible ugly big dots in VR (oculus pro), suddenly disappear when they're near me, and normal size plane appears from super small single pixel to normal size plane. Looks like bermuda triangle now...

Yeah, not sure If the line given in patchnotes is correct. I've added it to autoexec but screenshot taken in default Fw-190A bomber intercept mission (attached below) indicate there's no difference between using the revert line and not using it.

Unless the difference shows for VR users? I'm on 1440p monitor.

I think the black dots are for 2k and 4k flat screen resolutions .

But maybe it's a bug in VR . I think it needs tweaking for VR users. 

Like someone has said looks ok in 4k . 

But they do disappear when you start getting close . I'm guessing that's the transfer from black dot to actual image . 

Has any encountered stutter when getting on six of fighters. WWII server .

There is a bug (at least I think it's a bug) where, when distant aircraft are against anything transparent, they are extremely visible, no matter the range. Note that "anything transparent" includes even the 2D high altitude cirrus clouds.

I don't have a gif of this in action, but for example in the below screenshot, when I positioned the camera such the plane had no clouds of any kind behind it, it was invisible, as I would expect from this great distance. However, when I move the camera such that it was against the clouds, it became highly visible.

I have to mention that before 2.9 there was a problem with small contacts, but after 2.9 it is very difficult to find an enemy that is close to you (. 

 

You cannot be successful, especially when we talk about Dogfight Servers.

 

Please fix this problem or give us an opportunity to change size of contacts( and markers) in settings of the game.
