When will the speed gate for the APG-73 be implemented?

Just checking in after the Phase 2 update for the F-18 and F-16 radars. The F-16's APG-68 received its Moving Target Rejection (MTR), which is the speed gate equivalent, implementation when both radars received the Phase 1 update in August. When will the F-18 get this feature implemented?

It is implemented, we don't have anything specific about it's parameters from ED though.

Hmm I never saw any patch notes related to it and like you said, there isn't any specifics on what parameters it changes.

Test it? 😄

Just gave it a test and it seems like it still doesn't do anything. I still lost track at the same point against the same target parameters when using the WIDE and NORM.

Yes you are right, I could not see any difference with my tests either

Just checked and it works properly.

It doesnt. Lock a target in STT and make it do a 180 turn or go cold. Lock drops. Same with co-speed.

I think any confusion lies in the expectation that the speed gate function should be acting exactly like the Viper's MTR.  Here's a track showing a comparison between the two.  The jets are facing north and there is a line of Hueys facing south set to ground speeds of 0-100 knots in multiples of 10.  The Hornet picks up all of the contacts regardless of whether normal or wide is set, whereas the Viper shows only the 3 fastest closing contacts in Lo and none in Hi MTR.  Maybe the speed gate is implemented internally, or maybe the Hornet's radar is just better than the Viper's, idk.  In any case, the manual doesn't have any specific speeds for either mode, so people don't know exactly what to look for. Маэстро, any chance we can get those speeds?
