Hey there !

I flown the Gazelle today and noticed that she has a great option for the trim :

fade in

It stands right in between instant trim and center trim.

It works like a charm actually, as it is quick enough but does not make the helo snap when pressed.

Any possibility to have it worked on for the Apache (and other ED helicopters) ?

Thank you very much !

old issue, for spring centering stick/peds, the ah64 force trim options either cause aircraft upset (instant trim) or controls running away (central position).  the new kiowa model has the "Fade In/Fade Out" trim option that works wonders with spring centering stick/peds.  just like the instant trim but without the instant jolt.  much smoother, dare say more realistic.

came here to beg the ah64 developers to include this trim mode option for the ah64.

please.

For me, who switched from the old and wonderful, but worn-out G940 to Virpil, the Fade In/Fade Out option known from Polychop helicopters is the only one that does not cause constant irritation at the inability to precisely trim the helicopter without struggling with the joystick. But my colleagues who fly on "springs" also highly praise this trim method. Therefore, I join the request to consider and positively respond to the request to make this trim method available not only in the Apache, but also in other helicopters such as Ka-50, Mi-8, Mi-24, UH-1 and the upcoming Chinook.
And anticipating possible inquiries, I use the Virpil MongoosT base for the joystick, the one with clutches, which for someone used to FFB are quite a miserable and rather useless gadget, and after weeks of getting used to this mechanism, I finally gave up and settled for flying with a spring-centered joystick.

I support this request and hope ED will add the trim option to the apache. It's the most optimal trim solution so far imo.

bump. No response from ED unfortunately. It would be such a benefit to copy the trim option from the kiowa. I know they are third party dev but maybe ED could make a deal with them to get the trim option fade in / out transfered to the apache.

YES! For all helicopters.
I actually can't understand why this wasn't already done. We have it on Gazelle (and Kiowa apparently... not owning that) and the free Oh-6 Cayuse and works like a charm.

So... Fade in - Fade out trim for president Yes!
