Examples in tracks attached: - TACAN 73X on Syria will show range info to the VOR/DME station at Beirut (112.6 MHz). - TACAN 83X on Persian Gulf will show range info to the VOR/DME station at Ras al Khaimah (113.6 MHz). Tuning the paired channel of a VOR/DME station should receive DME from it, the same way that a VOR/DME receiver can tune a TACAN paired frequency to receive DME for it. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Recoil16 Posted November 4, 2023 Share Posted November 4, 2023 Yeah, as pointed out by Ahmed, this is not a bug, rather it is expected behavior that has (finally) been implemented after it was missing for so long. The DME component of a TACAN beacon is functionally the same as the DME component of a VOR/DME. @BIGNEWY I think we can close this as "correct as is". Everybody said: "That's impossible!" Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it. Yea, (gotta love fat-fingering the keypad) and the identifier is also wrong, but ultimately not related to this. PG has a number of NAVAIDs that need corrected according to some IRL navigation charts.
