Kenan Posted March 27, 2009 Author Posted March 27, 2009 So dewdz..what do you think? I think this low profile sim is a silent winner. It's free and it doesn't look like it's a resource hog and even though the terrain detail is far from BS level, I could play it without having a slide show. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Commanding Officer of: 2nd Company 1st financial guard battalion "Mrcine" See our squads here and our . Tenrai Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Any info on when it will support Track IR as well as support for a mixed HOTAS setup? As opposed to needing a grouped set like the x-52
Kenan Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 I don't know about the mixed HOTAS but the trackIR should be available in the upcoming release. SUBS17 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 1.03 is out http://www.seven-g.com/download/ [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I tried it already, loved the carrier ops :joystick: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
airea Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I downloaded but have not tried it yet but a 72mb for such an ambitious sim seems to be a little suspicious to me...
JaNk0 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 well, it's not "Black Shark" level, but they are working and updating the game when they have time to work on the project. Becuase it's free, you can't really demand them to raise the bar right away. Give it a try and maybe you'll like it, maybe not :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
EagleEye Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 One word of note on this release, is that it will in fact be the last version of our 'developer demo' series that we release.Does this mean that v1.03 is the last build we can download? Could it be that the final version will be payware? Deutsche DCS-Flughandbücher SYSSpecs: i7-4790K @4GHz|GA-Z97X-SLI|16GB RAM|ASUS GTX1070|Win10 64bit|TrackIR5|TM Warthog/Saitek Pro Pedals
JaNk0 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Oh, I missed that part...looks like it [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
airea Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I just gave it a try... The cockpit seems promising but the land textures are more like falcon standart...
Chibawang Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 How's the gameplay though? Are there actual missions? I'm a bit confused about what this "demo" includes.
JaNk0 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Well, the demo includes 6 missions: * Landing at night * CAT launch * Fly through SAM zone * Fly through AAA zone * Dogfight with mig-21 * Dogfight with mig-29 small game so far with clickable F-18 cockpit, carrier, a bit of land and great water texture. The graphics, overall, is bad but the physics of the F-18 are quite good. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
airea Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 If you are ok with falcon graphics, then this sim can satisfy you but compared to lockon or blackshark, seven-g has alot of way to go. But the flight model seems to be promising...
RedTiger Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Is TrackIR working yet? What about using multiple input devices? Any modern sim without these is DOA.
Tenrai Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Is TrackIR working yet? What about using multiple input devices? Any modern sim without these is DOA. Tried it, but negative on both.
element1108 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 If you are ok with falcon graphics, then this sim can satisfy you but compared to lockon or blackshark, seven-g has alot of way to go. But the flight model seems to be promising... I could be wrong, but isn't it a work in progress. The Free demo stuff is just a way to show the community the progression. The graphics engine will be updated no doubt. I think in the end, it will be a sim you buy. They're looking for a 2010 release according to the info on the webpage.
-Nighthawk- Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 The graphics will be updated in the final release I'm guessing. Starting from scratch and getting everything perfect I believe with the right developers they can achieve a great product.
Vekkinho Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Looks pretty good but I just saw two videos from first post! Is that 6DOF? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mse Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 Yep! 6DOF definitely. It's pretty small, only 73mb . You should try it.
