hehe, not realistic, hmm, well well, if we talk about su27s of the year 1994 it is unrealistic, but the once flying in the year 2009 are capable of it.

No they are not. The vast majority of Su-27s flying in 2009 are the same that flew in 1994 and in the same configuration :) .

The few Su-27s flying in 2009 capable of deploying the RVV-AE are the ones upgraded to Su-27SM standard.....an altogether different aircraft to the Su-27S version we have in Lock-on.

hey alfa, your post reads like a wikipedia site. same stuff over and over again.

if you guys would have a good knowledge about the su27 then you would have written:

"r27ae is not avaialbe cause the russian stoped the development, cause they proceeded with integration of the r77 series on the su27.

sure is, not all su27 of the russian air force are able to fire ARH but now 15 years have passed and for sure some su27 will be capable to fire ARH. most likely the front fighters which are not intended to fight at the borders of the homecountries or at the first wave in a big battle."

but lets cut this here, it leads to nothing then argues about who is right and who is wrong.

cheers

Thats probably because someone keeps making unsupported claims about the subject ;) .

Development of the R-27AE was stopped because it was considered more sensible to spend the funds on the R-77/RVV-AE program. But in case you haven't noticed the Soviet Union since collapsed and funds for development and integration of new weapon systems were no longer available.

Yes the few recently procured Su-27SMs, which among other things, were upgraded for that purpose. But like I said, this upgrade makes these aircraft very different to the old Su-27S version we have in Lock-on and just hanging R-77s on this would be an unrealistic proposition.

well thats true.

we would need TWS which the su27 is capable off. a proper datalink, etc etc etc.

all that comes with that beautifull bird of modern days

a proper 27et ballistic flight and much more that would blow a posting by far

Thing is these Flankers equipped with R-77 aren't Su-27S anymore but a Su-30MKI!

Actualy there are several variants wich can fire that missile or the RVV-AE export variant, but the RuAF only has the Su-27SM.

Great news SkieRieder, I'm really looking forward to v1.5 and to be honest 3GO Flanker made me switch to flying a Flanker in LOFC. I was flying the Fulcrum most of the time but now I spend more time in front of the computer 'cause Flanker has enough fuel for 2 hours of flight.

Now back to v1.5, List of all new features is great, there's some bug fixing that I haven't considered bugs like canopy correction - I didn't notice it being much different than the real one, engine drum not connected to th fuselage - I also didn't notice, nickel alloy plate in front of the gun - I didn't notice it separated...etc.

There's this cool photo walkaround I'd like you to check and post comments about it. It features some great angles on this plane, angles that can only be seen by a pilot or maintenance guys with plane resting on the ground but adding some of those details to the v1.5 would be great and appreciated. Now check the link, I already posted it before in this thread but here it comes again:http://community.livejournal.com/ru_aviation/1107470.html

Now, I already mentioned that adding more detailed texture to the lower part of the canopy frame, the part that can only be seen if canopy open would be a good idea when MP player spawns his canopy is open and seeing this part of the canopy would add to realism. So does the cockpit part behind the seat and around the canopy actuator...

How 'bout that?!

Thanks 3GO, and keep it up!
