BaronVonVaderham Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Question on performance: I have had some performance issues with some servers, despite having reduced graphics settings and a quite high spec pc (7800x3d, 64gb, 4TB ssd, rtx4070, water cooling). I was told that I could backup my saved games folder, remove DCS, reinstall DCS, and move the saved games folder back. Is that known to preserve my settings, binds, etc, and improve performance? 1
Hunter Joker Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 For the settings OK, but I can't understand why reinstalling will give You more performance only on some server that actually give You bad performance. As stated that are only "some server" have You tried to analyze it?Wich servers (ping)?Wich map?How many players when You connect?I think that this is the way to go for debug. It will not improve performance. If you have problem just on some specific server, it may be possible that the server are too overloaded of active units to be smooth for everyone. Nothing that you can solve on your end, if on other server in the same map you have better performance. BaronVonVaderham Posted April 30, 2024 Author Posted April 30, 2024 After some extensive troubleshooting with some help from someone on discord, I managed to find the culprit and make some improvements to my pc settings as well. the culprit was tacview. Once that was switched off in dcs, performance increased tremendously. 1
Flappie Posted April 30, 2024 Posted April 30, 2024 I've seen this Tacview issue before for other users. Maybe it's not up-to-date? 1 ---
