Has anyone else found the “secret” music player? If so have you figured out how to change the volume?

Ps

Thanks heatblur it’s awesome.

There is no mention of a music player in the DCS-specific section of the F-4 manual. As far as I understood, the music files from the Meteor F-4 Album, that comes with the Phantom, are meant to be used as a soundtrack in your homemade video productions. But I hope I'm wrong. It would be a shame not to be able to listen to these tracks while flying the F-4.

Theres no volume control yet. You can play them in the cockpit though. Its a bit "hidden" as Q3ark says.

How? I can't find the play button 😅

In the jester wheel, the record command will play the music tape, took me ages to figure it out

It doesn't work for me. Regardless of whether I start ATVR record via the Jester menu or directly on the WSO seat, nothing happens. I have also played with the sound sliders in the options menu, but so far no success.

Here’s the steps…

Eject the tape, click on the label (the text will change) , put the tape back in, tell jester to start recording = music

Doesn't work for me either. I've switched the Tape, set the recorder to record, the green light next to the pilot's left knee is illuminated, and turned that knob in both directions to raise the volume, but no sound at all.

I never heared music playing. Hat a human Rio and we were fiddeling around with it. He could hear it, i didn't.
NOW, i can hear it, but he does not.
Repeated over and over, i have the feeling its "burned in" who is hearing and who not.

Strange ^^

Holy crap that's what that does. Found it my first time in the bird and was looking around the cockpit. The tape ejected and flipped around and j noticed it said Meteor on it but couldn't figure out how to make it play. That's awesome!

Got it playing in multiplayer with a live WSO, but only the pilot gets the music.  Is this right?

Awesome work!

That something like this was even coded in blew me away in the tomcat and to see it implemented in the f4 had me grinning ear to ear first time I got it playing.

Little extras like this has got me searching the 3d model just to see if HB left signatures in the wheel wells or something.  Just phantastic.

These keybinds already exist. Please see our manual, the Tape Player chapter explains it :)

It is supposed to work in multiplayer. The volume feature is coming in the next patch.

Hey dude, did the volume control make it in to the patch? I can’t see how to do it.
