Will we get the Steam version of Afghanistan in the next update?

Hardly, the Apache was not so long ago, and it had a working preorder on Steam. I bought it there. The Viper debacle was back when I was still flying the other sim.

That is the exact point that ED was used to have pre-order @ steam. But, BN said ED was no longer to have it.  Not sure why?

You might be right, the Apache is a module I haven't bought so I didn´t follow the release.

They CAN'T.  It's not ED's decision to NOT have pre-order on Steam, it's STEAM's decision that they basically won't allow pre-orders any more.  Follow the link in this post to STEAM's statement on this:

You probably won’t be able to find it on steam until the patch goes live, and the patch was slightly delayed to the 4th.

Thanks, and make sense.  The purchased mod will be pushed by steam regardless DCS patch is ready or not.

I was about to get the complete map, but unfortunately there's really no discount at all. Even as a player who owns all the maps and almost all the modules, you feel like a second-class customer.

Then the outcry from those who have already bought the card on STEAM today should be pretty big. I also like to invest in my hobby and have a good payment record. But to ignore STEAM users in this way is pretty unfair.

SW is for South West, and not the complete one, which will consist of three parts. If you plan on getting all three. Get the most expensive one and get the discount.

Yes, if you buy the whole map. You don't have to pay anything more for the next two parts. Part one was released today.

There was a pricing error, couple of us pointed that out on Discord and they adjusted the price with 20% discount shortly after releasing it on Steam. Unfortunately some of us bought it before that happen so naturally the way for me was to request a Steam refund and re-purchase the map. Map is not in shape (expected it is Early Access) to cost 66€ instead of 50€.
