STRIKER 45 Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) I have been having issues since the last update (DCS 2.9.5.55918) where random core game Textures and Roughmets are flagging as braking integrity check even though I have not touched these files. I go to check these folders and files and the "Last date Changed" Are from several patches ago. This seems to be random as I will load a single player map with most of the playable aircraft in it and it will flag a random texture or roughmet. I load it again after a game restart and it will flag different textures. This also sometimes is happening in multiplayer. I ran repair with "all Files" multiple times and it still is not finding any issues. Perhaps there is a corrupted check sum or something going on. I am tired of getting a Random Red Shield. Some sesssons I will not get the red shield other times I will. This is the only patch in 4 years of DCS that has given me this issue Included images of one example of untouched texture... had issues with F-4E F-1Mirage SU-27 F-5E-3 F-15E Appears to be random ED Please Fix nullnull Thank you null Edited June 18, 2024 by STRIKER 45 Additional screen shot
razo+r Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 That is an ancient behaviour of the integrity check. It has been flagging random default game files since years at seemingly random intervals... 1
STRIKER 45 Posted June 18, 2024 Author Posted June 18, 2024 Is there a fix? Nightmare scenario is I am in a Match and get kicked halfway through because integrity check goes off on some random texture. Last install of the game was early 2021... Should I do a freash reinstall and just hold on to my saved games folder?
STRIKER 45 Posted June 19, 2024 Author Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) I did a full reinstall of DCS... It is still failing Integrity Check. I did a short 5 minute single player mission. Checked multi player and had the red shiled. This time for a random Masquito texture. Mods folder disabled in saved games as well. dcs.log Edited June 19, 2024 by STRIKER 45 additional context

Keeping your RAM at default SPD clock make a DCS repair and then run DCS and test it. Sometimes it happens that due to memory corruption, there will be a miss match between version loaded into RAM and the "validated" checksum Just a test, disable in the bios XMP, and give it a try. Hotel Tango Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 I'm having this issue for some time now. It's completely random. Various repairs and some uninstalls have not fixed it. HRP | Derby "Wardog, launch!"
brodie4598 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 (edited) This started for me on the latest update - happened twice tonight alone in the exact same way both times: Log into MP server no problem Realize I'm an idiot and can't figure out how to start the Chinook Log out and start the Chinook training mission Pull my head out Go back to exact same MP server and integrity check failed on some random core game file Exit game, do a Clean in DCS Updater Back to normal. Edit: after the third time, I realize the Clean isn't necessary. A simple restart solves it. Edit 2: Just had it happen after changing aircraft inside the same server...this is gonna get old in a hurry. Edited August 15, 2024 by brodie4598
brodie4598 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Just had this happen again in the middle of a mission. I was kicked out after landing and then taking off from a FARP in the CH47. Then after restarting DCS I couldn't get back into the mission so this time I did need to do a repair.
Sandman1330 Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Got this twice in one evening today. 2 logs attached. The first time it was CH47 textures, the second time it was M2000C textures. I am having memory issues (is 32GB not enough anymore???), so there might be some validity to the corrupting of textures theory.... dcs.log dcs.20240818-011936.log Ryzen 7 5800X3D / Asus Crosshair VI Hero X370 / Corsair H110i / Sapphire Nitro+ 6800XT / 32Gb G.Skill TridentZ 3200 / Samsung 980 Pro M.2 / Virpil Warbrd base + VFX and TM grips / Virpil CM3 Throttle / Saitek Pro Combat pedals / Reverb G2
Lange_666 Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Create an exception in your anit-virus software for the entire DCS folder and the DCS folder in your Saved Games folder. Then run a repair to get the files back your AV might have quarantined and you're good to go. It only happens on heavily loaded servers where I'm running up against max memory. brodie4598 Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 I had 64 GB of RAM so I spent $400 and doubled it and still have the exact same problem

Have you at least tried what Maverick87Shaka recommended regarding RAM clock speed?

Have you at least tried what Maverick87Shaka recommended regarding RAM clock speed? It made sense in my head. I had recently built a new system and went down from 128 to 64 because I was like 'I don't need that much memory...' and after I saw their post I checked memory utilization while on contention and saw I actually WAS running out of memory so I figured that was it. yeah adjusting my clockspeed caused my system to not even boot. I am embarrassed to admit this after all that, but, I have completely solved this by just updating my BIOS. Edited August 31, 2024 by brodie4598
