21 June 2024

Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends

The biggest savings of the year are now available with our DCS Summer Sale that will be running until the 14th of July 2024 at 15:00 GMT. Go and grab 50% discounts on a wide range of modules and terrains. Enjoy!

We're excited to bring you the latest updates on the DCS: CH-47F. We are currently debugging phase 1 of the cargo and sling loading functionality, an important aspect of CH-47F gameplay. We are also wrapping up the pilot models and door gunner operations. After careful evaluation and due to some stopper bugs, we have decided to delay the launch of the DCS: CH-47F, along with the DCS: Afghanistan map and our huge update to the 3rd of July, 2024. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

We are thrilled to announce the release of the Four Horsemen campaign by ‘Fight’s on Sims’ for the DCS: AH-64D in the next update! Check out the details below.

Thank you for your passion and support.

Yours sincerely,

Eagle Dynamics

We are preparing to launch the DCS: CH-47F into Early Access, along with the new DCS: Afghanistan map. Much of the remaining work focuses on the cargo carrying functions, damage model, flight control systems, and avionics. We are also working on the countermeasure systems and door gunners. Furthermore, we are pleased to introduce new pilot models that will enhance the visual authenticity of the cockpit experience.

Based on the results from recent internal and external testing, we have decided to move the launch date to the 3rd of July, 2024. This is your last opportunity to take advantage of the DCS: CH-47F -30% pre order discount that stays valid until launch! Consequently, we have decided to move the whole of our upcoming major update to the same date. But the DCSW update is maintained for June...; isn't it? It is independent of the launch of that terrain and helicopter..., or we have to wait for each other too

Will Flaming Cliffs 2024 come out on the July 3 update?

And quick question with the Miles program. Would I be able to use Miles with the FC 2024 upgrade? The upgrade should be priced at $9.99, so once it goes live I will plan on purchasing it. I'm thinking of getting F-14 (4790 Miles) and South Atlantic (3490 Miles). 8280 Miles in total. Would I be able to apply these towards the FC 2024 upgrade, or are Miles limited to non-upgrade discounts?

Miles from third party modules are at the discretion of a third party. I think I did get miles from Tomcat purchase, but yes you are able to use miles on the purchase and essentially get something 'for free', like I got Su-33 long before I got it again with super carrier

Sorry, it appears a couple of people who like to play with themselves rated this thread 1 star, I wonder who they were🙄  so I have rated it 5 to expose the very few who rated it !

Now I really do need my bed.

Entiendo que es como citan el tres de julio y no el tres de junio como comentas.

Remember you don't get Miles if you use Miles.

It took me 7 or 8 purchases in the sale due to SMU (Strategic Miles Use). I can now rest and apologize to my bank for all the International transactions.

I kinda figured this delay was going to happen since I did not see any Nook videos from Wags yet a week before release. I hope everything gets squared away soon.

Yeah I would just gain Miles for the F-14. Thinking over South Atlantic. How many air bases will the final product have?

Miles I'd plan on using for FC 2024.

South Atlantic has a somewhat low amount of airfields both currently and eventually, and most are very small (4-8 parking spots) with short runways as well. It's very pretty, and I love the naval focus it has in addition to South America proper, but I've found it very difficult to make missions for because of this. It also has a very large install size (~60-80GB or such) if that's an important metric.

Do you get Miles on the Tomcat? I'm sure I did back in time though. My point was that, IF you only have ≈8K of Miles, you still need to pay 2 dollars for the upgrade. Which then won't give you any miles, while if you pay the whole ten dollars, you will get Miles on the upgrade. I was stupid once and used some Miles, on a not so small purchase. And lost a lot of Miles. Learned my lesson then. I'm just reminding people because we had a long thread about this where people complained about this. But it's at it should be.

With the upgrade being $10 or so, I think that is probably a good one to use Miles on.

Though now I am looking at the JF-17. $56 is a lot more than most the other modules, but it seems a bit simpler to get into and has more A2G options.
