The Cockpit software updated, all the old user-made profiles/presets are not working at all. But it seems there are more profiles and more sims supported.

It seems a bit more stable now also, for me it used to crash every time I exited DCS.

X-plane now working although it's going to need a bit of tweaking to get it to feel right for helos.

It seems to be working pretty good. No profiles for X-Plane so I reinstalled MSFS 2020 and I'm using the Cockpit Profiles for MSFS, modifying them and saving them under X-Plane.

Got my moza last night , was a bit disapointed that there was no profile for the Harrier in dcs. Do you know of any profile mathcing the harrier ? I use only the normal input and it feels pretty good . Just cant get a rattle when firing the guns .

Also since im new to this , what profile should i use ?

  • Direct Input: In this mode, the game directly controls the force feedback effects of the input device, making it suitable for games that natively support force feedback.
  • Telemetry FFB: This mode retrieves telemetry data from the game and calculates the corresponding force feedback effects through MOZA Cockpit. In this mode, the Direct Input force feedback effects are inactive, making it suitable for games that do not natively support force feedback or have poor quality force feedback output.
  •  Integrated FFB: In this mode, both the force feedback signals output directly by the game via HID and the telemetry force feedback signals are active. Users can choose to blend these two signals at a certain ratio, which can be adjusted using the "Game Force Feedback Output" slider in the basic settings.

DCS World -  Integrated FFB; IL2:GB - Direct Input.
I don't play other sims 🙂

I use a user-made F-15C profile, converted for the latest cockpit version, and see if it suits you or not.

If that's in IL2, it's not been implemented yet.

Could it be the guns' telemetry is not exported? Anyone else tried?

Guys, I hate to do gatekeeping or the admin job on behalf or whatever, just a reminder that this little thing is always present:

And that as I am also getting a Rhino, I am puzzled why there isn't an independent thread already...

Can anybody who flies the F-14 module and uses a FFB stick confirm that ALT HOLD won't hold under the following conditions?

  • At roll angles exceeding 10 degrees.
  • During level flight above 20k feet, when the wings sweep back past 40 degrees.

This is the case with my Microsoft Sidewinder FFB2 and I'm wondering if this is due to a worn FFB stick (yea I am aware how old it is, but I was under the impression mine was un-used when I bought it second-hand), whether this is how the A/P behaved IRL, or there's a software issue on ED's/HB's end.  My stick rocks fore and aft slightly when A/P is engaged.  Not sure if this is normal either.  I suspect this is what causes the ALT HOLD a problem under the above conditions. The exterior view shows the tailerons twitching a considerable amount under these circumstances, as if there's a spurious signal, but strangely the A/P ref light does not illuminate.  If this does prove to be a worn stick, I can then make the leap to buying a Moza, because after you've tried FFB you realise it's essential.

Haven't really paid attention to roll angles, but no issues with alt hold at any wing sweep up to high subsonic speeds.  Once you get to about .9 the AFCS has a hard time maintaining stability.  Push past 1.2 and reengaging the alt hold is fine though.  The rocking backwards and forwards is the AFCS maintaining your altitude.  The stick should move a heck of a lot more during ACLS recoveries, but that doesn't seem to work very well unfortunately.

I tried Hornet profile with F/A-18C, of course, the gun feedback was pathetically at 8% and I rank it up to 20%, then I can feel a little flip back of the stick (without extension).

Then I trie d a user-made F-14 profile, converted and can be found below, has an insane gun setting of 57%! Be prepared to have some sort of vigorous wrist exercise when flying.... Don't say I have not warned.

I am getting into the F-15C and see what may be a problem.

F-14B Mozas old default.preset

Update 1: I check the F-15C preset and the gun feedback is also 8%, and when I crank it up to 25% and it gets a lot better "feel".  Now onto how it works with A/V-8

Since I mount the base on the right, my wrist becomes to feel "something"... 😩

Update 2: I have tried F-15C preset and the guns on A/V-8B do not move. I try the preset of Yak-52 and the move the gun up to 100%. I tried the gun then it is still react some time, but I am not sure if it is from the gun or not. Will bring it up to the Discord to see how it goes.

😄  That's an understatement.  The A/P ref/NWS is a self-destruct button if you have the ACLS activated.

Hello mods.  Could we get a dedicated Moza forum like Virpil, VKB, WinWing, etc.?  There are starting to be multiple Moza threads in the main forum, so it wouldn't hurt if they were consolidated.  Thanks for the consideration.
