VireVolte_tigrou Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Once the Gripen will be released, it will be time to focus on its predecessor ! This Viggen will represented as its final fighter version, the JA-37D. It will "naturally" replace the F-15C for similarity on missions and armaments. Release in two more weeks, of course. :) 1
Luse Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Sweet mother of god VVT. That looks awesome ! STT Radar issue is leftover code.

jerom1992 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) Does this mean the Gripen will be released soon? And... Will it be possible to apply reverse trust on that F-15 FM? Great work btw Edited May 7, 2009 by jerom1992
JaNk0 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 Will we be added to reverse the aircraft like this? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

jerom1992 Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 i dont think its possible, but in the future for dcs ;) Tornado has kind of reversed trust.:D
VireVolte_tigrou Posted May 7, 2009 Author Posted May 7, 2009 i dont think its possible, but in the future for dcs ;) Why not ? Whatever, I've included the reverse nozzles in the 3D. ;)
czarnyolek Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Let me gues, reverse thrust will be activated by "w" key? ;)
JaNk0 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Or the key combo for "hook-down" if it's possible to key it with the F-15 ? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VireVolte_tigrou Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 Don't hurry, dudes ! The 3D is not finished yet ! Still a lot of details to add (nose gear, centre pylons, RAT, etc...) Then the mapping. Then the animations. Then the integration... :weight_lift:

Ells228 Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Awesome work, love the model. On the reverse thrust, I'm pretty sure this is coded within the game and may not work.
Vekkinho Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I have info that Viggens were retired from active service in Swedish AF in 2005?! Is this correct? Was the Sweden only country operating JA 37 Viggens? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
X-man Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Yes and yes :) The Viggens are retired and we were the only ones operating them... 1 64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54
shaggy Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 we dident want to sell it to anyone that is the real truth:it was a too good plane to sell to anyone else. Just amazing aircraft. I have read a story about a Swedish viggen intercepting the flightpath of a SR-71 Blackbird, coming so close that he could fire a missile and shoot him down, And we are talking something like 50 000 Ft now. Amazing stuff. Amazing stuff. This was a SR-71 with just one engine, and also not that high, NATO sended some friendly fighters to ecort him over the baltic sea, because MiG-25 and MiG-23 was chasing him. cheers
