Once the Gripen will be released, it will be time to focus on its predecessor !

This Viggen will represented as its final fighter version, the JA-37D.

It will "naturally" replace the F-15C for similarity on missions and armaments.

Does this mean the Gripen will be released soon?

And... Will it be possible to apply reverse trust on that F-15 FM?

Great work btw

Don't hurry, dudes ! The 3D is not finished yet !

Still a lot of details to add (nose gear, centre pylons, RAT, etc...)

Then the mapping.

Then the animations.

Then the integration...

I have info that Viggens were retired from active service in Swedish AF in 2005?!

Is this correct? Was the Sweden only country operating JA 37 Viggens?

we dident want to sell it to anyone that is the real truth:it was a too good plane to sell to anyone else. Just amazing aircraft. I have read a story about a Swedish viggen intercepting the flightpath of a SR-71 Blackbird, coming so close that he could fire a missile and shoot him down, And we are talking something like 50 000 Ft now. Amazing stuff.

Not just the Viggen but all SAAB aircraft were pretty impressive, I remember Austrian Draken intercepting USAFE Falcons in the Austrian Alps!

This was a SR-71 with just one engine, and also not that high, NATO sended some friendly fighters to ecort him over the baltic sea, because MiG-25 and MiG-23 was chasing him.

cheers
