Now, I think ignoring it is a disservice to the buyer me. A lack of respect.

I corrected that for you. I am personally happy we get a chinook

I care less about the version. I have no relationship towards Italian version. But nothing against it either.

There are some clear exterior and interior differences between the original teaser in the 2023 and Beyond video, but those were obviously corrected following research to ensure the product was accurately reflecting the configuration of a CH-47F in the US Army, the level of authenticity of which is what ED strives for when making aircraft modules.

Instead of ignoring the team could have said this, as the video is from ED's own announcement, but thanks for responding. Grateful!

I am wondering if troop insertions and recovery can be done using the CH-47F. Would one need to build the mission using the “ embark to transport “ advanced waypoint commands? I have never been able to make that work in the Huey.

I have no idea, but I'm really hoping that "Embark / Disembark troops" will be a native DCS option for the CH-47 so no mission triggers are required. Ideally, something that can be bound to keys/buttons (Embark nearby troops, and Disembark) would probably be ideal - better than the rearm/refuel menu given that there may be some hot extraction of troops in less than friendly zones.

I’m confused — you asked a question on Thursday and got a solid response from a member of the team on Saturday.  How is that ignoring?

While not the ideal way, I use voice attack for this purpose. Specially on servers I do ctld on. I map the f commands out and add it to voice attack. I'll just about land say troops deploy, or unload crate and it's auto pressed the commands in order and takes about half a second. Not built in, but a solid workaround...

i can understand why someone would be more hyped for the Italian Chinook . Not because its Italian but because it happened to have  additional features such as a Infrared camera or the weather radar.

But like you say most will still be happy since its still a chinook and a modern service variant with digital avionics.

Or someone may have put out a full presentation buffet.

Of Italian food? I'm in.

Thought of this today watching one display. They landed, opened the ramp and out came a fella on a quad bike. We want one of those too! Ya never know. 🙂

It's the heliwhopper with dual rotors and a foreign sounding name from my childhood, I would have lost my mind if I'd ever got one as a model as a kid, so getting to fly an authentic simulation of one is something I would never of dreamed of.

I am pretty hyped by the chinook, but ambivalent It is a stable beast but as close to a drone as a chopper can be  not quite sure I will like it more than MI 8

The other thing and main reason for my answer is some people's need to be angry about something and express themselves in a way that they represent all the users

I am like any other capable to express my opinion

there are two kind of players here

Those focusing on toys that does not work

and

Those focusing on having fun with the toys they like

First tend to call the latter fanboys.

These fanboys knows there are, let’s call it challenges . But knows they have been reported and find something else to do.

Well I plan on having lots of fun in my Chinook. For me it's like a bigger, more modern Mi-8. And that's just fine.

Or a release to finally get our hands on... 😉

So looking forward to this! Usually if I just wanted to fly I chose another sim and flew civilian stuff. With the Chinook I will just do cargo run after cargo run

Very unlikely, don't remember it ever happening on past releases.

Yes, better to be safe and purchase it soon if you want that price.

You can always open a support ticket and ask for a refund on the F-15E, I understand that after 10-14 days they will give you the money back on the form of store credit.

I can understand, as I too was bitten by this Razbam & ED issue .. that's why I won't be purchasing the CH-47 until after the matter has been settled ... also skipped on the Afghanistan map and on the OH-58 .. dont want to sink more money onto the ED Store until I'm sure that all the Razbam modules (I own all of them, even the SA Map) will be lasting.

Does the Ch-47 have a autopilot? How does it work? I just tried online to fly between Farps and all it was doing was constantly porpoising, I hit the trim repeatedly, tried holding trim until I stabilized flight then let it go, nothing seemed to matter much, I was constantly having to put pitch changes into cyclic. It was great to hover and land but not fly. Thanks for the input I know you guys will give.

Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:!

Search for bob. You find it. Once engage you move the stick forward to increase speed back for slowing down. Collective up and down for altitude. Sideways on the stick for turning.
when disengaging BOB , don’t do it in full speed forward at low altitude. , make sure your nose do not point forward in that situation

Take a look in the manual that comes with the module. You'll need to open the folder/docs directory where the module is installed, as the link in this thread is to an old manual (you'd think ED would update the manual posted on their site).

Yes, the autopilot ("Bob") works quite well. You engage him, then the cyclic stick controls speed with fore / aft movement of the stick, heading with side to side movement of the stick, and altitude with movement of the collective. I've been very happy with how it works.
