CrustyJim Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 (edited) Been flying the campaign pretty much without hiccups until mission 10. I flew the mission 4 times, and each time the same bug appears. I removed all my mods and did a deep DCS repair, but still the same problem. I basically get to the point where weasel flight is asked to attack the final (I think final because my wingman and I are have one missle/bomb each by this stage) AAA gun parked in the triangle forest. Whether I destroy it or my wingman does, does not change what happens next. Vader acknoledges the AAA kill, and orders HAWG flight to resume their attack. HAWG 33 then drops some bombs that hit, and then HAWG flight stops attacking completely. It is as if the trigger for HAWG34 (or other HAWG flight members) to also attack never triggers. I checked with f6 view and all of HAWG flight still have CBUs, and there are still lots of targets. Anybody else have this problem? I am on latest DCS version as at 28 July 2024. baltic_dragon Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Thanks, we're investigating this. There should be the RTB call at some point but it seems the mission waits for too long. Will try to fix ASAP. baltic_dragon Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 OK this should be internally fixed, though a lot of trouble is caused by a core DCS bug with a bombing task for the AI... so can't guarantee it will work as intended until ED fixes things on their end. CypherBlue Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I experienced this same and I was in mission when I checked this thread. I almost gave up as I was in the same spot waiting for the Hawgs to finish their attacks. But I just started to RTB myself and halfway to home I got a popup to tell jtac we are Bingo and end of VUL. I was able to trigger that and RTB and land with 100 mission success. This was like 6th play through that damn manpad. You know you can turn on invulnerability for the MANPAD part at mission start, right? Using F-10 menu. MANPADs are too dangerous ATM in my opinion, that is why I built this option into the mission. sam_ Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 (edited) Still borked, got tasked to kill the last AAA (in triangle), wingman answered saying he had 2 bombs, waited around, nothing happened, took it out with a bomb of my own and then nothing. No acknowledgment of the kill. Second try just the same, this time I went RTB but I guess I got too close to home before JTAC bingo message and broke rest of the triggers. baltic_dragon Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 This is weird. Both me and one of the testers flew this mission and it worked OK for us. This drives me crazy, I so much prefer the bugs that I am able to reproduce that those that happen to others and just make me scratch my head.. For more information, please visit my website. sam_ Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 No worries, I seem to have insane knack for breaking missions.
Jayhawk1971 Posted August 30, 2024 Posted August 30, 2024 (edited) I have experienced some weird trigger issues in mission 10. !Spoiler alert for those who haven't played this mission yet! I destroyed the building, did a show of force, destroyed both technicals. did a second show of force, then was bingo and got the option to RTB. On my way to the tanker (after having switched back to 6 on prime), wingman calls out tracers, followed by two triggers simultaneously: one we discuss how to take out the AAA, and discussing the trap they set. I went back, we took out both AAA pieces. I went back towards the tanker, when wingman calls out more AAA. At this point I quit the mission. I'll do it again tomorrow, trying to stay out of burner more. Second attempt, everything worked fine Edited September 1, 2024 by Jayhawk1971
baltic_dragon Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 LOL.. glad it worked fine on second try. Gunnar81 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Just had a hiccup with this one as well. I've done the second show of force, destroyed the first AAA pop up and now on the second pop up Vader asks me to confirm tally. I can't get the radio menu to function, it just sits that showing the F10; 1 or 2 options graphic and not matter what I do nothing responds. On right radio channels and all that, not running a single mod or even TacView.
baltic_dragon Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Do you have Easy Comms set to off? Sounds like that may be a culprit here. For more information, please visit my website. There were off yes, which makes the issue all the more confusing. I think it might have been a 'one off' bug due to god knows what going on in DCS.
