Maybe I misunderstood Rob. I have GUI set to 1, and text font size, (right above the GUI setting), set to 1.5.
Cheers!

Hmm.  I've always had that set to 1.75 (higher resolution 2D) to get a decent size for menus and comm's text.  When I set GUI to 1X it shrinks all that stuff down considerably even with text size set to 1.75.  Likely depends if you're 2D/3D, what your res is, how far you sit from your monitor etc (and old eyes don't help 😉).  Thanks for the suggestion though!

For comparison, here are screen shots of my settings menu at Scale 1 and Scale 1.5.  Both have text set for 1.75 so it unfortunately doesn't help in this case.

Ah, I see. Yeah text size is for the text, (and radio menu?), in the game. And the GUI is of course for the GUI. I had a feeling I got it wrong.

One would think GUI for GUI, but it has also reduced the size of radio menus too for some reason (which makes sense since it's a user interface too) ☹️.  I don't change settings often, so I could live with that part, it's the tiny radio menus that hurt.

Yeah, I just tested. Text is for the "messages" only, unfortunately.

Of the three maps I tried before switching scaling back to 1.0 from 1.25:

- Kola - bug

- South Atlantic - bug

- Afghanistan - OK

Hope this gets addressed. Sorta need the scaled gui.

CORRECTION - Per the tip from @captain_kaoss below, this appears to be SuperCarrier not map related. Deleting SuperCarrier allows gui scaling on those maps (obviously I didn't have a carrier on Afghanistan). HMS Invincible works fine with scaled gui on South Atlantic.

Thanks everyone. Changing GUI scale back to 1 really solved the problem to me. Important to report that I was only experiencing this issue in 2D. In VR it was ok even with GUI scale larger than 1.

Hope they fix it soon, It´s really harder to read in 4k with GUI scale back to 1 😅

It seems to be the Supercarrier being present in the mission that triggers the issue when the scaling is set higher than 1.0, I'm guessing that the missions you loaded in Kola and South Atlantic had the Supercarrier in them?

You are correct, thanks! Deleting Supercarrier allows scaled gui on the Kola and South Atlantic.

Can confirm that the SC is causing problems. Whenever I put a SC into a mission and try to run the mission I get flickering in the spawn screen and cannot select an aircraft to fly. Logs attached - one without SC and one with. Screenshot attached. Using Caucasus map.

I normally have my Scale GUI set to 1.25. Setting it to 1 resolved the Flickering etc. Setting Scale GUI to any value other than 1 and the Flickering etc returned. Seems that the problem lies with the SC and the GUI scale.

For me it only happened on large missions such as a big Liberation campaign mission, but a First in Weasels over Syria mission loaded and performed fine.  Did recently change the font scale, don't think I changed the gui scale.

And that likely has no supercarrier in the mission.  That's why it was fine.
