Dragan Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 (edited) I have noticed this since the last update that after the effect of the cannon these numbers below appear and the score does not show progress, does anyone know what it is about? Because this has never happened before.I am also posting a screenshot from the debriefing window and I marked this what am i writing about. As you can see from the window, the destruction of the vehicle is absolute, but the result has not changed. These numbers seem to appear in the part of the window that shows where only HEI rounds were fired... I don't know what the weird numbers in the log in the lower part of the debriefing screen are about. The SCORE ("66" in the screenshot) looks plausible, assuming that you destroyed targets for a combined score of 66 points. The RESULTS ("0" in the screenshot) have nothing to do with the score. It's up to mission designers to award players a result from 0 to 100. This can be awarded for anything: time passed, group or unit destroyed, unit inside trigger zone... These results are usually ignored in single missions, because the only place where this value is used is in campaigns to determine which mission comes next. Not sure if that answers your question; if the score does not add up to the vehicles you've destroyed, we'd need to see a short track that shows what the issue is, and a description how this differs from previous DCS versions. 1
Dragan Posted August 20, 2024 Author Posted August 20, 2024 The main score showed the number 66 which was achieved in the maverick attacks and the gbu-12 means before the cannon attack, these two bmp-2 vehicles were eventually destroyed by the cannon and these strange numbers are in that column and as I said the progress from 66 has not changed, unfortunately, I didn't save the save track, but I will definitely publish it,,
Solution Dragan Posted August 20, 2024 Author Solution Posted August 20, 2024 (edited) Another mission completed, looks like I'm right in stating that these weird numbers only appear with HE rounds hitting, here's another screenshot and save track of my entire mission, this time it was my winged AI firing the cannon, everything is marked... Everything seems fine when the AP bullet is fired... LastMissionTrack.trk Edited August 20, 2024 by Dragan

I ran a quick test mission and can't confirm your observation. In this mission, I set up 6 BTR-80. Killed 2 of them with Maverick (2 * Score + 10), had my wingman kill 2 with Maverick (Score unchanged because it only counts vehicles killed by the player), and then mopped up the last two with gun (CM). The first +10 was awarded right away, the last one took a minute or so to die completely. Ultimately, my score was 40, which is perfectly in line with my 4 vehicle kills. 1
Dragan Posted August 22, 2024 Author Posted August 22, 2024 Again these numbers, the first shooting increased the score, the other two did not, it would be really good to clarify this...
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 22, 2024 ED Team Posted August 22, 2024 Hi Dragan we will look into it but it will take some time. thank you 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Dragan Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Can anyone confirm or deny something about this problem? I asked the team in a message, I didn't get a response. I've been drawing attention to this problem since last summer. Has this problem with HEI bullets been resolved? I haven't flown for 2 months due to some personal obligations, and I see that there have been many updates. I changed my computer so I don't have DCS installed at the moment. Thanks in advance.
Dragan Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 DCS installed and started, still not fixed...
Flappie Posted March 14 Posted March 14 The zeros you see happen when you hit a vehicle but don't damage it. Try the same thing against trucks and you won't get these zeros. I'll ask devs about these zeros, because this does not seem normal at all. A-10CII HEI only trucks.trk A-10CII HEI only artillery.trk 1 1 ---
Dragan Posted March 15 Author Posted March 15 (edited) These zeros do not achieve a result when the target is destroyed, in many screenshots you can see that the vehicle is destroyed and no progress is recorded, although in many cases this destruction is caused by an API bullet while it is mostly recorded that the ending is with a HEI bullet that causes these numbers and zeros but without progress in the score result, of course, thanks in advance... This problem appeared this summer during one of the many updates, in the 3 years I've been in DCS this hasn't happened. On the forum, this post of mine is listed under / Reported / But there is no fix, I asked several times, I didn't get any answers Edited March 15 by Dragan
Flappie Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Please try the tracks I posted, both of them. You will see that I'm right: when DCS records no damage, the "hit" event initiatior is "0" instead of "Aerial... A-10C II". This is not normal and I've reported it. 2 ---
Flappie Posted Sunday at 08:40 PM Posted Sunday at 08:40 PM Devs say it happens only with artillery units. It will get fixed (when, I don't know). 1 ---
Dragan Posted yesterday at 09:32 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:32 AM Thank you, that was changed I think in August last year. It also happens after shooting at armor, it's not just artillery vehicles. The circle on the A-10 HUD has 2 dots, the upper one is for API, the lower one is HEI, when shooting at a target to avoid HEI bullets ending you have to be very stable and hit the target with only API, otherwise you get HEI hits and then those zeros and zeros. The same is when using the CCIP cross...
