Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

@MAXsenna I believe ED is moving forward with its other full-fidelity modules, except those from RZ.  Due to the ongoing dispute, RZ is likely to be avoided in 2025 and beyond.  I foresee the dispute between ED and RZ going on for many more months.

As unfortunate as that might be Mike! The topic in this thread is the want (NEED!!!) for NEWS about FlyingIron Simulations' A-7E Corsair II.
Cheers!

Nothing exists in DCS until it's released. Not aircraft, not maps, not core updates.

@MAXsenna Yes, the A-7 would be great to have, especially on a vietnam map.

Would work great in a middle east map, and the coming soon, Germany map.

I’m keeping all my hopes up. Next to the F14, this was the plane of my youth in Jane’s US Navy Fighters. I’d love to see the day to get a full fidelity model of it and bomb the living daylights out of anything on any map!

FI has seemingly abandoned anything not The Operating System Flight Simulator.

They walked on all their XPlane stuff just like here. Went out for smokes and never came home. Too much money in Micro$$oft.

I can't comment on the X-plane stuff, but where's your evidence they have stopped working on the A-7 and have abandoned DCS?  Oh, that's right, there isn't any evidence of this besides "Waah, they won't talk to us about something we haven't paid money for yet".

I understand wanting more information and for people to actually stick to deadlines they give themselves, but ask yourself this.  How many DCS developers actively interact with the community at all?  How many of those developers primarily use alternative platforms like Discord as opposed to the forums here?  How many projects have been announced that keep getting next to no information released?

It hasn't even been a full year since the last update, there's no reason to say anything is "vaporware" or abandoned yet except certain other modules that are no longer being updated.

I can absolutely understand the uncertainty and the fact that other developers don't talk to their community is no justification for FI not to do so.

It would also be very easy to dispel these concerns. FI would just have to write or say "yes, we are still working on the A-7". A single, official sentence, no more. In my opinion, that is not too much to ask and would more or less dispel the concerns.

You’re asking me to prove a negative. I have clear evidence they haven’t said squat and have gone radio silent. Does that sound like A. They’re just so busy they can’t possibly respond. B. They lost interest and moved on, or C. Magic?

FI must have noticed that there are some who would like to get some feedback (it's not just here, but also on their Discord). So it would be easy to just confirm that they are still working on it and progressing. As I said, that would be one sentence and a matter of a minute or two. You can't be that busy that that wouldn't be possible.

A little worrying that the A-7 was not shown at all in the 2025 video. Maybe it's too far beyond than beyond still yet..
The 2024 and Beyond was only a 3d mockup scanned A-7E, wait about that was a near release module has only a bad dream. A complete module has far away. The same has other "dissapear" modules, with starting to reapears slowly.

Surely one reason why some are concerned is that there was no "end of the year report" (like the last two years).
