 I've made it a mod alright, combined with the Ultra Shadows setting enabled.
Any chance you can share your mod file for us who use a mod manager

Absolutely! Will make one OvGME compatible, as the one I use for Open Mod Manager won't be I assume.

Alright. Here are two files. The zip can be used by OvGME and, I guess, other mod managers. The ozp file is specifically for Open Mod Manager,

All credit goes to @Mustang for the info here, and to @f14billy for showing me how to enable Ultra Shadows.

Cheers!

MAXsenna, just to let you know the optionsDb.lua you have included is out of date and missing the recent spotting dot improvement entry's.👍

While I'm here, for anyone interested, this is what I've been using;

View Distance:

Ultimate = 2.5;   (Preferred for performace)

Insane = 5.0;

Shadows:

Ultra: Value(5)

Clouds:

Extreme: Value(4),

Clouds Ultra (max default) Vs Extreme comparison.

Does this also increase the distance at which objects begin to be seen in the TGP?

You can mostly edit this through the graphics.lua via the line that controls objects as discussed here by others and in other topics, many recommend 100,40000 or so to cope with dot vanishing issues but feel free to experiment.

Something I forgot to add - I have manually added the line 'effects' into my graphics.lua with tweaked values ( you can see this in the screenshot above in line 272) this should overcome the problem with contrails disappearing abruptly at certain distances, so if anyone is having that problem that can be tried out.
