I hope it is the AH-1T (Improved) 'SEA COBRA'. While the 'W' & 'Z' are really awesome, we have more of a chance with this one.

This chopper has so many charming quirks to it…. Even if it wouldn’t serve any purpose in DCS, I would fly the hell out of it…..

(but it may fit in an early Vietnam context)

I'm hoping for a T or W version because I like the shape of the glazing. It's so angular, it feels bulky and cramped inside.

would appreicate anything that is agile and has anti tank capability , plus sensors that can store target location...and A-A capability.

i love the apache, just wish it was more agile!

Cobra, Cobra, Cobra.

For 10 years, I’ve just been here for the Cobra.

The most fun helicopters are the earlier models before all of the electronic assists, that provide that raw seat of pants experience like the Huey does.

Giving us that old school analog helicopter feel in an attack helicopter is IMO exactly what DCS needs. It’s visceral and interesting from a gameplay perspective, and I do believe would become a community favorite in the way the original Huey has been.

Well. Despite all the guesses I think and I hope that the new chopper will either be the Ka50-Sh Night Shark Ultimate version or a modern version of the Hind. Maybe the export version with a moving turret on the nose... time will tell.

Belsimtek, before merging with ED, was working on the AH-1W. They even showed some cockpit screenshots, and there was a lot of discussion about it back in 2016 or so. It was even listed on their website.

I’d be really surprised if the next bluefor helicopter isn’t the AH-1.

Violent Nomad is working on a Vietnam era Cobra right now. I posted my Cobra variant as the AH-1T 'Improved Sea Cobra'. I like of the idea of the Ka-27 that was posted earlier. It is already in the game as AI. I don't really know how ASW will work in this SIM. It would be nice to have and would open the door to the SH-60B Seahawk, SH-3H Seaking, UH-Y1 Venom ect.....

It won’t, at least according to Chizh: no ASW helo will be made by ED since the development cost would exceed the profits from sales.
