FoxxyTrotty Posted March 3 Posted March 3 If you land on super carrier, without foldable wings (F15e, F16 - and I assume others) you still get "awaiting Wing Fold" message. This message will remain even after taking off the carrier, and even switching aircraft. The way to fix is to restart DCS. Can Devs please add a check to see if the wings will even fold, before forcing a message that can't be removed... I suppose the "you're not supposed to land other planes on the boat" might be a valid response, but this is DCS. haven't tried harrier, will report back when I do to see if that also suffers the same fate 2 . . . . . . . Every module/ map except the dual winged joke.

I wouldn't expect ED to fix non carrier capability, but it's the same for the A-4E-C and T-45 community modules as well.Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted March 4 ED Team Posted March 4 Please do me a short track replay using the AV-8B if that has the issue I will push the problem with the team. However for non carrier capable aircraft not intended for carrier use this would not be a priority issue. thank you 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Esac_mirmidon Posted March 4 Posted March 4 (edited) Well , we have the A-4, the T-45, and the Harrier. Just a radio order to bypass the wing folding could be an easy fix. I will try the Harrier later and provide a track PD: The Carrier did not trigger the crew orders, is recognized as an helicopter. Not possible to "salute". Anyway please consider the request for the Skyhawk and the Gosshawk, to be able to enter the Carrier Crew rotations properly. Edited March 4 by Esac_mirmidon 1 " You must think in russian.." Mav87th Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Add a constant to all aircrafts/helicopters that has foldable wings and depend the "wing fold" message (and deck crew visual signal) on the aircraft type having that constant. That would also solve it for community mod aircrafts NOT having the constant.. 1
Esac_mirmidon Posted March 4 Posted March 4 At least consider a restart or reboot crew order on the radio to be able to bypass the lock. 1 " You must think in russian.." How about a new key bind in the supercarrier to release the looping logic for the deck crew manually? 2 Spoiler Dell XPS 9730, i9-13900H, DDR5 64GB, Discrete GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, 1+2TB M.2 SSD | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + TPR | TKIR5/TrackClipPro | Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box | Win 11 Pro
Esac_mirmidon Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Thats what i mean, some sort of deck crew logic reboot command, keymap or radio order. 2 " You must think in russian.." scommander2 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) To break F-14 flaps is kind easy... and it is a DCS official mod.... Dragon1-1 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 I think both this and the magic teleport should get commands. "Abort ground crew" and "reset aircraft position" or something. Currently there's no good way of dealing with broken flaps on the F-14. 2
scommander2 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Thanks for the suggestion, and I did try the teleport option with no response 1 Spoiler Dell XPS 9730, i9-13900H, DDR5 64GB, Discrete GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, 1+2TB M.2 SSD | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + TPR | TKIR5/TrackClipPro | Total Controls Multi-Function Button Box | Win 11 Pro
PathNull Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Just a bump here...it does stick with you for the rest of the time the game is running. I know I really shouldn't be landing an F16 on the supercarrier, but from that point on (regardless of aircraft) that phrase is stuck in the middle of the screen. It's cosmetic but worth considering to fix down the road...
