Devil 505 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Might as well get this thread kicked off! This was my first flight on the map today. Thoroughly impressed with performance in VR. Knocked it out of the park Ugra. More to come. Have a really good OH-6 video I need to get knocked out. 6 1
Maulet Posted April 18 Posted April 18 The presència of unique buildings makes the map somewhat passable. Also impressed by the perfornance, here with TrackIr
TOViper Posted April 18 Posted April 18 This map is a true piece of art. Congratulations to Ugra Media Team. This map could easily be used in ArmA3 or similar FPSs. THANK YOU FOR PRODUCING IT! waterman Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) I tried google earth and maps its not there only a diesel electric depot - this DCS map is early 1980`s also tried google earth with the time set back 1980 and the 1945 map its not in range of map. That wont help as i want to see what is on this German DCS Map. Edited April 18 by waterman 1
gulredrel Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Thanks Ugra. Awesome map. First flight in the L-39 from Peenemünde, Heringsdorf, Laage, Rostock, Damgarten, Rügen and back to Peenemünde. Airfield details are really nice. No need to populate with static objects in ME to get some life in there Bunkers of type "Granit" used as "Sonderwaffenlager", storing nuclear warheads. 7

That wont help as i want to see what is on this German DCS Map. If you are looking for a specific house or road, it might not be there. The towns are filled with generic buildings of the appropriate type, and just the major landmark buildings are there (kind of like Normandy II map). So, flying over Frankfurt aM, you'll see the Hauptbahnhof is in the right place, and looks pretty good. The Romerplatz, however, no so much. You know it's Ffm, but you won't find the imbiss you loved in Dornbusch, nor the Irish Pub in Sachsenhausen. Now, if you are wanting to defend an area from a RedFor advance through an expected route of advance from Fulda towards Frankfurt on either side of the Vogelsberg, this is a brilliant map. The terrain out there is spot on, with generic towns in the correct places, and the roads are more or less right. So, a road map or Google Earth this is not. It is, however, a great map for fighting the war that never happened. 1
waterman Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Forget about Google - I Simply would like a couple of closeup screenshots of the roundhouse with the green arrow pointed at it. The picture is Frankfurt on the Germany map in DCS. 2
Harry.R Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Looks like there is one in real life just to the West of where the in game one is. Sorry can't help with in game pictures yet. It's just visible under the 'Industriepark Höchst B598 (Siemens AG, Nobian, TÜV)' Edited April 18 by Harry.R 1 1

AWa1961 Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Kassel, my hometown: The Building Herkules real life. and in DCS. Amazing! 9
waterman Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Thanks Harry.R Very Interesting nice find that Zoomed in on google maps to be a roundhouse and maybe the one or maybe its another one. The turntable looks very short and the Diesels wont fit so only the road where that one is in shed is available. Maybe this was a wagon loading depot. It will be realy nice to see the one in DCS closeup. thankyou Edited April 18 by waterman 1
