But I for one do, and I'd say let's wait and see how it actually works out in practice. When that system is active, you'll be (mostly) looking outside of the cockpit anyway, so there might not even be an issue  And perhaps it's an incentive to many to start using proper fence-in / fence-out procedures, instead of flying with "master arm on" during the entire flight...

This is a Warsaw Pact aircraft. In the Warsaw Pact distances, even in aviation, were measured in km.

You will have independent settings for cockpit language and units. It was already shown in previous videos.

Wags had metric units activated (see HUD) and still had the miles on the HSI.
