I agree and it is quite annoying.

It was introduced with the pilot, which in not active in the attached screenshot.
It started to happen without changing reflections setups (I'm on static for both MFD and canopy)  right after the 3D pilot update.

The first time I thought the crew chief forgot to clean the canopy.
This reflection is very annoying

This has been alluded before with regard to VR but for me this is a 2D problem.  There seems to be a static, ie not moving, reflection on the right side of the forward canopy, most noticeable toward sunrise or sunset. I have no mods running apart from Reshade and it is still present when Reshade is disabled.
Is anyone else noticing this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

can you make a short track replay where you see this happen and attach it here.

Also please attach your dcs log so we can see if there are any errors happening.

If you have any unofficial mods maybe worth removing them and running a slow repair of DCS,

Thank you

@BIGNEWY As requested (However @Maverick806 demonstrates the bug clearly in his post)

This 'artifact / blob' is present irrespective of canopy reflections STATIC / OFF

Are you using a custom kneeboard?

No!
If the sun is low on the horizon and you begin a right turn you can easily reproduce this, check the .trk file if you already haven't

Randomly I get strange reflection on the canopy. Seems like it is from kneeboard map, but it can pop up even with the pilot body turned off by default. It is usually present when loading the mission first time after launching DCS, second load is OK, then it is random. The reflection visibility depends on the roll rate

Also can i ask about the glass reflections where the pilot can see himself?

These looked amazing and gave great immersion...

Now it feels like the canopy is gone.

I seem to be getting this weird reflected light texture on the front right of the canopy.  Weirdly enough, it really only seems to be on the Cold War Germany map AND only the first time I load a mission.  If I exit the mission and select "re-fly" the light texture doesn't appear.  And it doesn't seem to appear for every other iteration I load, only the first mission I fly after starting the game.  I've attached photos.

Hi,

Could this setting be responsible for this? Maybe try testing the setting a bit.

Yeah I’ll play around with that when I get a chance.  It only appears the first time I start a mission when I start the game, then it’s gone every other mission I fly. So it’s definitely a bug of some sort, but I’ll see if that’s what’s causing the bug to happen.

It's been a year now since they are unable to fix it...

Thanks!  Glad to see I’m not the only one.
