Yes buddy the Quest 3S is equipped with sound, and I must say it is sounds good. You should absolutely give it a try! We only live once, what do we have to loose? But please do buy Virtual Desktop Streamer aswell (25 dollars) it is a huge performence boost and make multiplayer run as good as in singleplayer, Here is my post I made today about my VR settings and the performence I got: Edited 23 hours ago by The Gryphon
PLUTON Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hello, what should I choose between the Quest 3 128 GB or the Quest 3 512 GB? And what is the difference, please?
OmasRachE Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Hello Pluton, the difference is more internal memory of the headset. Long story short you can go for the 128 GB headset, because you cannot install DCS on the headset itself. You have to use it with a link cable or via wlan link. The question is, if you want to use your vr headset with other applications. Some VR games can be installed on the headset and you can use it without a PC. But only for DCS you would have no effect of more memory. Edited 8 hours ago by OmasRachE
schurem Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I feel you bro. Back before corona, a buddy of mine got a dev beta version of the oculus rift. He loaned it to me, and I tried DCS with it. It was amazing. I was sold right away. That's a long time ago. I'm now on my fourth headset since then (a pimax crystal light) and went all out on building a stupidly powerful PC to power it. Yes VR is very much PC gaming, in that it takes a *lot* of tweaking to get right, and your hardware is never powerful enough. Ever since I first experienced a takeoff in VR, and broke through an overcast cloud layer, I have been so happy with VR and DCS. It's been a dream I had since I was eight. 9800X3D, 64@6000, 5090, Pimax Crystal Light

Yup as @OmasRachE said, META has a huge store of "Standalone" Quest games that are stored on and run FROM the headset. You can also store 3D movies on your QUEST to play with any number of 3D Movie Apps. All require internal storage. For PCVR like DCS, it is irrelevant, mostly. I got my QUEST 2 with 128 (vs 64 GB) and even though I have found quite a few "Standalone" games that I enjoy, I still have plenty of space. I imagine moving large 3D movies in would eat up a lot of space. Edited 8 hours ago by Recluse
PLUTON Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Thanks for your replies, guys. That's convenient because the 128 GB costs significantly less than the 512 GB. Okay, I'll get the 128 GB, which will soon replace my HP G2. Thanks again. Have a good flight, everyone.
