Suggestion: Su-25A Full Fidelity after the MiG-29A FF?

Hello everyone,

With the upcoming release of the MiG-29A in full fidelity, many of us are curious to see how well it performs commercially. If it turns out to be successful, I would like to propose an idea to Eagle Dynamics: developing a Su-25A in full fidelity.

Why the Su-25A?

• Reusing assets: ED is already working on a remake of the Su-25 for the Flaming Cliffs series. That means the 3D models and textures will already be brought up to modern standards. For a full fidelity version, the focus would mainly be on programming and systems, reducing the need for extensive art development.

• Gameplay diversity: On the RedFor/USSR side, there is a clear lack of full fidelity strike aircraft. The Su-25A would bring much-needed variety and serve as a true counterpart to the A-10C for air-to-ground operations, while keeping its Soviet identity.

• Historical value and immersion: The Su-25 is an iconic aircraft, still in use by multiple countries today. A full fidelity version would greatly enrich campaigns and scenarios on the eastern side.

In short: if the MiG-29A FF sells well, the Su-25A FF could be a logical next step for ED—one that provides a lot of value to players while minimizing redundant development work.

Has claimed by ED as others, but actualy has no confirmed, yet. Of course as Wags has talked, if resources, time, dev team and available info. I think that sooner or later all FC aircraft (A-10A/F-15C/Mig-29A/G/S/Su-25A/Su-27S/Su-33) will come to DCS World as full fidelity modules sooner or later.

Yes but I think it is something good to make for 2027 because the art is already there and not outdated, so it should be good to avoid bad ressources management to make before the art of the su 25 are outdated

No such thing as Su-25”A”, it’s just Su-25.

And we’re getting a new one this year, albeit FC-level for now, as announced a few months ago.

The next one will be the F-15C, but I completely agree, I'm looking forward to the Su-25. It might be the SM3 .

I know, that's why I am saying to reuse the assets of the future FC SU-25 remake, the only remaining part will be the coding part and they could sell it for 60 or 70$ while using the "free" 3d model and textures. It would save ressources and the free su 25 will not be a total lost of money for ED

The Su-25 won't bring anything New in terms of a2g capabilities. The MiG-27M or K would. As well as Su-17M4

Hear me out, I have a sneaking suspicion a FF SU-25 might be on the cards. They announced and previewed the updated model and textures quite some time ago, January if I remember correctly. I'm clutching at straws here but surely it doesn't take this long to release and inject an updated model and textures? 

My theory is that they are going to test the waters with the MIG-29 sales and make a decision on whether it would be worth it or not. To me, it just seems odd they cherry picked the SU-25 out of quite an extensive list of FC aircraft to update.

Mind, the current one has the awful cockpit frame clipping going on, maybe half the reason for the clean slate. Who knows. 

Time will tell, thoug, a FF SU-25 would be an instant buy for me.

It's not theory. They were very open about this that they'll certainly look for more FF redfor jets if the sales are good.
