Curious they would have bomb-damaged buildings in London 4 years after the Blitz.

Londoners thought they’d seen the last of German bombers after the 1940 to 1941 ‘Blitz’. But Hitler would launch one last air offensive against the British capital in 1944. Before it was over, hundreds would be dead and thousands injured.

They're probably waiting for planning permission from the local council.

So much for the myth of Allied air supremacy in 1944. At least as it's taught in the US.

It's worth reading up on the mini-blitz.

The Luftwaffe loss rates were ridiculously high during this offensive, to the point that they very quickly pulled the plug.

By 1944, most German fighters had already been pulled back from France and the Eastern front to focus on defence of the Reich.

A myth? I recommend you look into what kind of operation it was, and the German disaster... night bombing raids, in which the allied Mosquito/Beaufighter night fighters attacked like hunting dogs...and only causing Pyrrhic damage. let's just say that after this, the Germans hardly bombed England again. In fact, it was the Luftwaffe's last strategic operation, a year before the end of the war in Europe. Another blunder by Göring.
