Not only, remembre the Operation Eisbär (the V-1 england bombing) start on Spring 1944 and the V-2 from October 1944.

So much for the myth of Allied air supremacy in 1944. At least as it's taught in the US.

It's worth reading up on the mini-blitz.

The Luftwaffe loss rates were ridiculously high during this offensive, to the point that they very quickly pulled the plug.

By 1944, most German fighters had already been pulled back from France and the Eastern front to focus on defence of the Reich.
