In reality, the beacon group does exactly the same. Though, it doesn't happen very often. According to my experience, there are usually 2 sets of PRMGs installed at an airfield. Only one of them is turned on, depending on the active runway. This is very similar to ILS. They might be assigned to specific airfield or even to a part of the highway when needed. And there might be a lack of them to have a runway covered from both sides at the same time. 3

Is it possible to post a sample mission (for the MiG-29) with beacons installed (for different landing courses) and the data cartridge filled in? Thank you. Мои авиафото

I edited the mission and got it working now. Kuky Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Oh, great, after testing this just now I can see that you can place RSBN Glidepath and Localiser cars on both ends using same channel # (they use same RSBN PRMG Car to generate beacon), which is great... also I tried putting Glidepath and Localiser in same group (as they share the channel) but then only 1st unit work and the 2nd doesn't, meaning each unit has to be on their own, not part of a group. Lixma 06 Posted Monday at 03:00 AM Posted Monday at 03:00 AM (edited) This is a wish - In the mission editor would it be possible to give the localizer car a 200 meter 'crossbar' similar to the glideslope car? This thing... Something like this... Edited Monday at 04:50 AM by Lixma 06 1
YoYo Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago @BIGNEWY, everything works perfectly with the MiG-29, correctly indicating both the path and the bearing to the radio beacons. However, I have a question regarding DTC and PRMG. In DTC, when we add an airport, for example, to a flight plan, we immediately have information about the PRMG bearing and the appropriate channel. Should we also add vehicles and enter the parameters manually in this situation? Or is this unnecessary if we're using DTC settings?
