tn_prvteye Posted Thursday at 04:20 AM Posted Thursday at 04:20 AM Oh man...if you haven't tried the Visor in VR...go do it! It's pretty damn awesome. REALLY cool effect. Nice Work.
TopoSolitario Posted Thursday at 06:56 AM Posted Thursday at 06:56 AM It is cool BUT it seems it renders lights and reflections like if you have no head, with light coming from sides and back causing really weird effects that should not happen with a visor attached to your fade. 1

That’s not how real visors behave. 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

lj0076 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago It's unusable for me in VR. With Pimax Crystal Light I see half of it as tinted, half not, and all sorts of artifacts... honestly, it's literally tearing my eyes out... :/ AMD 5800X, 64GB RAM, RTX3080, HP Reverb G2

Hopefully they'll be fully removed - this is acknowledged by ED in other threads about this. The tint itself is brilliant, really spot on (with gamma 2.2). It does what it's supposed to do and fixes problems with lighting that DCS had ever since version 2.7 . 1 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON
lefuneste01 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I'm wondering if the Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM) - Utility/Program Mods for DCS World - ED Forums feature to control reflection will work with the Mig29 as it is working for other planes/helo... lj0076 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I tried but I didn't see any difference. Maybe I made a mistake in the installation, but even when I opened the edited texture in Gimp I don't see any difference from the original... AMD 5800X, 64GB RAM, RTX3080, HP Reverb G2
ARM505 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Off topic (but light related), the sunlight reflection glint from the helmet mounted sight (when stowed) in the rear view mirror is very well done IMHO.
