Deadman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You might want to check your A-10 seat build looks a bit to much like a F-16 to me! Flim Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Ya I know- working on the store pics ATM- The seat is the same besides the lower sides- I will cut some out here soon and update the pics.
Deadman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) There are some major differences between the ACES II of the F-16 and the A-10 but the basic seat shape is the same in the older seats. The F-15 and A-10 seats are closer but there are some minor differences. That you can tell once you here seen a real seat here is a small pic of mine. Flim Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Ya , that is what I changed from the f-16 to A-10. The upright is the same , but the sides are different from the f-16.
Deadman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 There are quit a few more differences than that. you may want to plan a trip to a museum or a collection to get a better understanding of the seats. But hey its your business i should mine my own :pilotfly:Take care https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
-Bazong- Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) Does anyone know the dimensions of these? "Screen" area as well as outer dimensions? Should be the same as the F-16 MFD's I suppose (?) but I can't find dimensions for those either... After some contemplation I'm considering getting these and putting them side by side on a 19" touch widescreen I have. Then I'll try to get the screen to display the MFD image in the TM MFD bezels and perhaps a touchbuddy layout or instruments (gauge composer maybe?) on the rest of the screen area.. MuggyMach3 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 (edited) so these MFDs are a perfect 5.55905-inch square? are there touchscreen LCDs available that fit? Edited November 6, 2009 by MuggyMach3
Feuerfalke Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Why you want a touchscreen for an MFD? MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD
CyBerkut Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 so these MFDs are a perfect 5.55905-inch square? are there touchscreen LCDs available that fit? I'll second what Feuerfalke said/asked. A touchscreen would be a waste. A regular LCD (or whatever type) display would be good, as you let the button ring take your selection input, and then have the display change appropriately, as needed. hansangb Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Yes. I got this one Amazon ASIN: B003LS95SG. It's a little wider, but it's trivial to cover up the extra screen. I used a cheap "For Sale" sign made of thin aluminum/tin and painted it matte black. Easy enough to cut with a pair of scissors and I kind of like the look. I can post some pics if anyone is curious. hsb hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1

The screen is 4" x 4" and has a resolution of 480 x 480 Pixel, 16,7 million colour-shades. The display is an LCD (Liquid Chrystal Display). Eihort Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I used an old square Dell LCD I had lying around and some velcro. I used the included software configuration options for both Falcon, seen here, and DCS. No custom software required.
