Funny "fails" about aircrafts, make a list \o/

okey, this is for posting wierd stuff about aircrafts, typical from movies and games. Obs! make only three and wit for others, or else we would have this pages long list from a single guy

here's mine

1. A-10 can go supersonic just like that AND have afterburner in H.A.W.X.

2. A F-35 pilot in Crysis Warhead says: "My left engine are on fire!"

3. They have this weird looking gun-sight for the F-14s in Topgun

Posted

Some more:

1. MiGs in Top Gun look just like F-5E's

2. In Hot Shots they operate Folland Gnats (with after burner!) from an aircraft carrier (might have been an intentional "fail" though)

3. Can't remember the movie's title, but they have F-117s with folding wings and after burners, which fly out of a C-5A

The Jewel of the Nile

The F-16 is on the Ground, rips the wings off and does not blow up and in one scene, it goes by the camera and you can see the drive shaft to the wheels.

The Iron Eagle series

Should I say more...Every one of those movies are horrible

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

I believe there's two versions of the same movie, IIRC one of them features Steven Seagal and Ice-T, other one Kurt Russell. OK they board the kidnapped airliner thru a tube protruding from a Nighthawk's fuselage. There's like 6 of them fully armed onboard F-117A!

Isn't it Air Force One where they board the VC-25 through the refuel boom from a KC-10? :D

In Independence Day this pilot with hangover is preparing for flight in his Hornet and presses some button in the cockpit and gets a warning "Missile launch in 10 seconds".

In the same movie Will Smith launches a drag chute from his Hornet.

In Behind Enemy Lines there is an epic scene when the Hornets are trying to dodge the SAMs.

Talking about Independence Day, why the &%*# do they use AAM on that super-duper large space ship? Isnt it better just to launch Cruise missiles or bomb with 2000lbs bombs?

Well you could pick absolutely any film with aircraft in!

My biggest gripe is the space helicopter that saves them at the end of Titanic. That is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unrealistic.

(it wouldn't be able to land on water because it is a spaceship and can't land on water)

Too many cowboys. Not enough indians.

No, but that's also funny!

Told you, there's Kurt Russell in that which I'm talking 'bout!

Ejection Seat Mechanic's Trivia: In the movie "Top Gun," if one looks over Tom Cruise's left ear while he's "flying," you can see a gold wheel protruding from the seat. That "starwheel" is what is used to retract the top latch plunger to unlock the seat from the ejection gun in order to remove it from the aircraft. Tom isn't attached to the airplane.
