This rear end too..........:smilewink: Just kiddin' a little.............:) [sIGPIC]http://www.fulltimepilots.nl/Sigs/LLTM2014.jpg[/sIGPIC] http://www.fulltimepilots.nl
theGozr Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I agree the MiG29 Dual seat is something i'm waiting for years.. The model seems very well done, But here for example the pilot.. It has high poly details but it is disproportionate and some how wrong, it is possible to achieve a great pilot model with much less poly but by respecting the right proportions will look even better and run better. The key is to make the aircraft the same way, it is possible to reduce poly with out reducing quality, You have to know where to reduce... Good job , Fly it like you stole it..
john_X Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 isn't a high poly model what you are showing us?i'm very curious to find out what's the final number of polys...
59th_Krieger Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 (edited) Hi, I'm finished the engine moving tests:pilotfly: My suggestion: see the following videos in HD on youtube page. Edited April 18, 2010 by 59th_Krieger 1
Alfa Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Yes that looks really good Krieger - great detail on the nozzle and nice smooth transition :) . I also noticed that the animation sequence shown in your video is fully extended to retracted, which is more correct than the way it is represented in Lockon(the reversed). The nozzle should be fully extended at idle, fully retracted at full military power and then expand a little again in afterburn. I wonder if it would be possible(with the number of steps available for the animation) to animate it so that the nozzle would expand a little again for the afterburn stage at the end? JJ
theGozr Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Krieger good animations :) Fly it like you stole it..
59th_Reaper Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Alfa! We know the engine-nozzle's working... These are simply preview videos of movement. S! Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Alfa Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Alfa! We know the engine-nozzle's working... These are simply preview videos of movement. S! Yes I realize that Reaper :) Anyway, I have been checking up on things and looking at the nozzle movement in the game, I can see that they don't move at all until afterburner is activated. So to answer my own question, correct nozzle movement cannot be made to work in the game......i.e. it doesn't matter whether the nozzle is animated to the correct full sequence if the game only activates the argument for the afterburn stage. Damn! :( JJ

Alfa Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Afaik the gripen model have something like it. Well I don't have the Gripen mod, but I don't see how it could work zakobi. The "full sequence" I am talking about can be seen in this short video: ...note how the nozzle is fully extended at idle, retracts as the engine is powered up and then expands a little again when the afterburner kicks in. Vekkinho Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 RD-33 (part1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K90qJ_GCepw RD-33 (part-2): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFSwQ6RvxdY&feature=related Yes, the nozzle animation in LOFC is awkward, should be opposite so when you taxi or idle nozzles should be extended like: At 100% RPM engines should look like this: And with FullAB extend a bit, but not completely as with Idle setting: 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
