Well, Take On is not a study sim, but I hear the FM is good. Cold start doesn't really define a simulation. Anyway, I don't have Take On, just saying, if anyone wants to fly the Hind, it's an option.

The two-operator nature of the Hind and Apache might make it an ill fit for DCS, at least until the AI is beefed up.

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing one. Although I have to say that my vote would go toward the Apache rather then the Hind if we had to vote on one or the other.

Maybe now with combined arms coming up, a hind would seem more practical?

And there already is a beautiful hind model in DCS already, just needs a cockpit and FM.:)

And I love fixed wing DCS planes but I will always prefer choppers.

I am pretty sure it is possible to fly the Hind in DCS world already... well any helicopter you want.

You just need to duplicate the Ka-50 input folder in c\users\saved games\dcs\config\input and call the new one Mi-24v or something like that.

Maybe I have got something wrong if so, ask someone with more experience:P

official helictoper sim TAKE ON HELICOPTERS!

then for all the HIND helicopters, old and new(4) including 2nd Gen ,

TAKE ON HELICOPTERS: HINDS! its actully really good, just like DCS just for helicopters.

they got little missions for Light Medium and Heavy helicopters, aswell as Attack/Support missions for the Hinds DLC. its made by Bohimia ( ARMA SERIES ) and it uses their Engine and World with a full cockpit and armament like DCS.

Hope a external team can take this one. I'm sure that a lot of people will love to fly it.

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

i had D/L'ed the demo version. the FM needs some REAL work/overhaul, and any true sim fan would think that its just a toy. too bad. sounded like it had real potential. but it is fun to just play around in.

As a huge Hind lover, was digging around on the internet and this thread came up. I see it's been a bit since someone last commented, but was wondering if in that time anything more about this topic came up.

I'm waiting on a new flight stick so I can get back into flying, but really wanted something more in line with DCS quality and detail than the more arcade-like games out there with such an iconic helicopter.

(On a side note, the AH-1 Cobra is another platform I'd love to see.)

This would fit hand & glove with the Mi-8 . Really hope they do it .

There is supposed to be a G model Cobra on the way ..... rubbish , we need an J , S or T ..... dont think they could do a W ? I dont fly any helicopters , but a decent Cobra would force me too .

I was trailing 6 of my squadmates this evening and my mind was playing tricks on my because I kept seeing the Hips as Hinds and the Hueys and Hokums as Cobras... Ah... if only

With multicrew..nuff said....one day

Super Hind is a great machine! I'm really happy that I had a chance to sit in the cockpit of this beast :) But! The amount of classified data is huge, so I don't think we would see it someday in DCS
