Pilotasso
Saw this over at F-16.net If this is the PAK-FENG, Im disapointed. No stealth shaping except that it does hide the exaust. RCS is probably reduced with just RAM skin which is only a few of the measures necessay to be taken to make it LO. Antartis
Google Translate "Military parity. In the site's forum china-defence.com published translated from Chinese material, published March 14 in the main state news agency Xinhua country. It states that R & D program to develop a new generation of fighter aircraft (in China, he ranked the fourth generation) will take five years. Chinese experts have reported that work on the program are "very confident" and "a lot of technologies will be above the level of Russian fighter T-50. Development of the Chinese fighter jet is not directed against Russia, the main competitors are marked American cars of the fifth generation F-22 and F-35. The program was called "tape". Currently, only the U.S. created the fifth generation fighter aircraft like the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning 2. Russia only in 2010 completed the first flight of the fifth generation fighter T-50. American F-22 Raptor is not only the most modern representative of this generation, but also the most expensive - 140 million dollars per unit. Chinese experts recognized that China has many ties with Russia and the comparison of the new fighter with a T-50 is logical. He noted that the level of electronic equipment and avionics new fighter "absolutely not inferior to T-50", but in other areas of the gap in favor of the Chinese cars will be much greater. It was also stated that the development of a new machine is the largest technical program of China and the country is able to resolve this issue. In his view, the level of technology invisibility of Chinese cars will be significantly greater than the T-50. Again it was stressed that the competitor machines will not be a Russian fighter jet, and American cars. Deputy chief designer of the J-10 Chang Chi Kao (Chang Chi-kao) said that the Chinese fighter jet being developed should reach the technical and technological level of the F-22 or even exceed it. But to prove it, you need a flight test, you must also check the aircraft in real combat. As is known, the deputy commander of China's Air Force has recently stated that the development of new generation fighter is very intense and not far the day's first flight, when the machine would rise into the air. This was the first official recognition for the work on this program. Comments that are published in the world, saying that China will be one of the three countries, which will create a new generation of fighters. The technical level of China in this area is much larger than Britain, France and other European countries, the United States and Russia have more questions in comparison, but the gap in technology will fall faster and faster. picture from a forum www.china-defense.comSource www.militaryparitet.com/perevodnie/data/ic_perevodnie/753/ Asus Prime Z-370-A Intel core I7-8700K 3.70Ghz Ram g.skill f4-3200c16d 32gb Evga rtx 2070 Ssd samgung 960 evo m.2 500gb Syria, Nevada, Persian Gulf, Normandy 1944 Combined Arms A-10C, Mirage-2000C, F-16C, FC3 Spitfire LF Mk. Pilotasso
Looks interesting but I doubt china's new plane will be that much more advanced than European ones, much less catch the Raptor. from the J-10 on they still have a huge gap to catch up from. nscode
You got to love how people who develop stealt aircraft need all kinds of models, equations and tests to design and determine the RCS, while some people on the web have the gift of simply looking at it and saying "niaaah. it doesn't look stealthy" :megalol: Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
