First: Congratulations ED! :)

I have a question concerning the flight model and the physics simulation in general: I started with DCS: Black Shark. Now reading the online feature documentation of Flaming Cliffs, it seems as if the Su-25T has a better flight model than the other planes. Also, the simulation of engine/turbine and hydraulics for the Su-25T systems seem to be a (similar/basic) version of that used in Black Shark.

Is this general assumption (for FC2.0 still) true, is the Su25T the most realistic plane, concerning Flight model and system physics?

Cheers, bfeld

Congrats!!!

The English version shouldn't be to far behind then....?

I should have my new card by then........

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

AS far as I can see, you must BUY Lomac, you then download, not purchase, FC1 (you can do this right now on the lock on site). Then Purchase FC2. and install over a combined Lomac+FC1 install. But that is only my interpretation, I could be wrong.

ED should make this clear as to whether FC1 needs to be purchased or not

I think its been said a few times already you do not need FC1... you just install original Lock On then FC2

Thats what i thought until I read this in the FAQ I would be happy to be wrong.

Q: What would be the Flaming Cliffs upgrade paths be?

A: Either Lock On + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade or Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 DVD.

Sorry guys - forget the post above.....

Finally I now understand....downloading the FC1 set up file as I type this!!!

As long as I dont launch the updated Lock-on programme after the update from FC1 but just patch again with FC2 it should all work Im guessing...

Sorry to be a pain in the arse!!!

LockOn 1.0 + Lockon 2.0 =

LockOn 1.0 + LockOn 1.1 + LockOn 2.0 = blowup.gif

Dear all,

FC2 may be installed on Lockon (original) or FC 1.1.

Thanks for the precision.

However, the FAQ is confusing...:music_whistling:

Q: What would be the Flaming Cliffs upgrade paths be?

A: Either Lock On + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade or Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 DVD.

So the FAQ entry

Q: What would be the Flaming Cliffs upgrade paths be?

A: Either Lock On + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade or Lock On + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 DVD.

should be changed to

Q: What would the Flaming Cliffs upgrade paths be?

A: Either

  • Lock On (original) + Flaming Cliffs unofficial add-on (you would not have to activate) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 download version

or

  • Lock On (original) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 download version

or

  • Lock On (original) + Flaming Cliffs 2.0 DVD boxed version

There's no need to buy Flaming Cliffs 1 to play Flaming Cliffs 2.0

Posted (edited)

Or just delete the last "DVD" bit off the sentence. I think that was the only little thing that might confuse somebody.
