Is it just me or does it look like this particular hog has taken a birdstrike or two to the nose?

Pizzicato, if I recall correctly that was one of the well used Nellis birds. Nose is beat up from the refuelling boom.

Ah, interesting. Thanks for the info.

I suspect that mine will look MUCH worse once ED get the air-to-air refueling into the game. :)

I just had the opportunity to spend a couple of days covering Hawgsmoke 2010 at Gowen Field in Boise, Idaho.

Ha ha ... I JUST saw this thread. Only been playing DCS since May 2013. I was there too, :) Nice shots! Here are mine: http://www.vaporfaith.com/galleries/hs.html

I have a bunch of pics from Pima Air Museum in Tucson, AZ from Sept/2013 this year of the A10's as well I should upload here if anyone wants to see, just not sure this is the right thread?

I tried to get as many close up's and cockpit shots as I could. I was trying to see how close TMWH was/what DCS did with the pits to what I could see lol, granted was mostly A model blocks...but STILL, I got to touch an A10, and stand in front of the beast, in front of the GAU/touch it! I was drooling all day....love that place. Also seeing SR71 in the flesh/being able to 'touch' it, was a 'bucket list' item checked off for me. Plus the A10C's were flying around the area from Davis-Monthan as they always do all day long. I was like a kid again at a air show....

(Only aviation nuts know the feeling/what I'm talking about lol.)

Attach pics here? Not sure if needed, I'm sure you could google pics as it's a museum and all...

There are actually three sounds - the gun firing, the rounds breaking the sound barrier, and the rounds impacting. Where you are relative to the plane and its target determines how they all mix together. In certain situations, you could hear all three distinctly, while in other situations you might hear them all at once. In most "gun run" videos, you hear the sonic booms and the impacts at about the same time, followed by the gun.
